This. That is a textbook example of a law that will 99% be used to fuck teenagers who are harmlessly dicking around.

Just look at all the other street racing laws that are already on the books and how they're enforced. You gotta be really stupid to not see it when you've got that direct example.

There is a difference in "growing up" and still having fun and "growing up" and being one of those lifeless dickheads that everyone hates to be near. There is also a difference in people (groups of 20 to however many) that are shutting down freeways vs a couple teenagers on backroad where there are no houses having a little fun. They will treat the teenagers like convicted felons, take their cars/trucks and they will be carrying a felony over some stupid bullshit for the rest of their lives.

All because some bitch ass cop wanted to have that bust on their record to get on the "task force".

I remember being a dumb kid with a 4x4 doing donuts in a snow covered parking lot. I also remember in my 30s being dumb doing donuts in a snowy parking lot :laughing:

I never saw the harm in it, but i could see how theyd use this law to royally screw over some innocent kids. Theres a big difference between some harmless fun and they type of street racing theyre trying to stop.

Depends on the state

In my state the only thing cops can do on private property is DUI and handicapped parking tickets .

Last time we got a good snow, wife and I took my truck out to the huge abandoned Sears parking lot to maybe test the traction and brakes. Goddamned Richardson PD had a cop sitting in the middle of the parking lot. Anyone driving through that parking lot got the red and blues turned on. Bunch of fucking buzz kills.
