F450 flatbed - materials

Mine is pretty much 1/4" plate decking with maybe 3x16" 2x3

This is our standard skirted bed. We don’t do these often anymore either.

I bet that's a pain to park. I have single cab 12ft beds on a couple trucks and they are too long for most spots.
Granted some places have spots that my Jetta barely fits.

Yup I'll get on it tomorrow, we have a couple of modified platforms going through right now. We use formed treadplate for ours, might not be feasible in your situation, but I'll get pics and post what we do. Maybe you can get some ideas.

Make sure you leave a wider gap where the wheels sit unless you want to move the deck height up. You don’t want to have a crossmember over the tire. Brace accordingly:

Hope this helps. Not standard beds, no gooseneck hitch. I can get pics of that, but it’ll be a couple weeks.
