Not much going on. Got to bed around 0300 this morning. Woke up at 0800 :homer:

Laying in bed, I hear a couple quick, low pops and the power goes out. Heard some clanking and various commotion. Nothing out of the ordinary when we have repairs going on in the apartment next to us and construction on higway 65 adding a third lane.

Turns out a dump truck pulled a couple power lines down that were low-hanging fruit over the highway right next to us and wiped out power for most of Ozark :laughing:. Hooray for batteries, right?

Power or not, we're still stuck at the apartment and bored.
 
Im in for sure. war department at her annual girls weekend out of town. I'll have some peace and quiet. :laughing:

big decisions to make, what do I buy or make for myself to eat? :lmao:

Im about of out wild turkey, so that'll get rectified on the way home. :laughing:

might get a rifle out that needs cleaning, hell both of my 12g need cleaned too. ya, that sounds like a great plan. will report back later with dirty plugs. :flipoff2:
 
Ste has today and Monday off. He is currently making father an omelet.

I've spent the last three days in a GP flair with vomiting. I was able to eat some potatoes last night, but the smell of food right now isn't a good thing. Between aggressive dry heaves and allergy sneezing attacks I am sore af.

Father wants to go bunny hunting today. Ste's broken ankle hardware and newly broken foot aren't happy. Not sure he'll be able to go. My broken foot has been annoying af this week.

New kitten has two names at this point. Ste wants Pinochet and Father wants Chuck. I'm guessing Chuck Norris is his name now. Ste chased him around with the RC trucks before I got up this morning. This cat isn't afraid of anything yet.

Started at 0500 today because why not. Computer took 1 hour to boot, started at swirling lines in computer. Made coffee, logged into computer. Second coffee and now it's after 0700 and presumably IT nerds are working. Send IT nerd from last night email and ask if he's ready to fix my shit. He's out until Tuesday. Fuck. Send general IT nerds an email. No response.

People on my team start popping off about old shit that's not done. Turns out it was some other shidiot in the woke department that's not passing things along to the guy that needs to check the boxes. Got that sorted.

Project I just sent paperwork in on was under a different funding package and that was a shit show.

Fuck it, I'm sending one more email today to schedule a field review and I'm out.


Did manage to find the bike tires I've been wanting, but they were only available full MSRP. :smokin:
 
In
Woke up yesterday morning to 4-5 inches of snow, friend south of me had 18 at his place. Naturally water was off left faugcitte on pretty soon it started running. Spent the day watching the libs crying on line.
Started soaking a pot of lima beans, tried making sopapillas from a recipe I found on line ended up being like fried bisquits. Talked to my sister today She is sendinding mom's recipe. Just put li lima beans in the slow cooker along with some pork necks hopefully they cook down so I can have for supper otherwise it's corndogs tonight

Had Wednesday and today off because of the snow and the highway out to the shop being closed. The snow is supposed to stop tomorrow morning but right now its coming down pretty steady with a strong wind blowing. We've only got about 8" - 9" since Tuesday night but some areas around here got hammered with anywhere from 12" to as much as 2 1/2 feet up in the hills.
Sunday - Tuesday look nice enough that the painters should be able to finish up the house. :bounce2:

Absolutely nothing planned for the weekend besides watching college football and doing a load of laundry.

In, leftover chicken parm for dinner. Bent a bucket floor for a friend. Told him put it tward my tab because he agreed to help move a big machine with his wheel loader. Tomorrow the wife set up a photoshoot for the family so I got a hairs cut tonight. Wife is a good photographer so I don't know why someone else is doing it, it's only going to be end with "you were right i could have done better"

Mrs has a “in person “ conference in downtown Sacramento today and tomorrow. She’s thrilled (sarcasm), she hates going downtown. She’ll be home later this evening.

Youngest is on her way down from Chico for a couple days.

I pickup the oldest tomorrow morning from the airport. She’s out for a few days from Alabama. Grandparents are excited. Our kids turned into pretty awesome adults :grinpimp:

Not sure what to do for dinner yet, I just need to feed myself and the kid.
