Driving without seat?

The bucket could split and shove a shard of plastic right up his rectum?

I know a guy who stood on a bucket to open the door of a car up on the lift. He woke up in a puddle of blood. The bucket split and a shard of it sliced up his calf and he hit his head on the concrete when he fell knocking him out.

Any time he sees someone sitting or standing on a bucket he shows off the gnarly scar and tells the story.
WTF kind of bucket would split into shards? It would have to be old as fuck. OP! use a newer bucket.

Probably an older one that's sat outside getting brittle in the sun. I've had a few splinter when you drop them with clamps & other heavy shit in them. They don't fold up, they split.

The guy that ate shit weighs probably in the 225lb range. Which is apparently more than the bottom of an overturned bucket is rated for.

I know a man that drove a car for years just sitting on a couple bags of grain. Same guy had no steering wheel for a while and steered with a pair of vise grips. A millionaire that you would think is homeless. And in fact lived in his car and under a bridge for a few years even when he had a house. Now he lives in a trailer house with no front or back door. He says he sleeps on the back deck unless its raining or snowing.

I can't think of any house in the US without 240v power.

Mine has it, but it's a sub panel added at some point. Dryer runs off of propane and 110, propane stove and oven, fridge is 110, etc. There are lots of houses that don't have anything but 120.

No, you have 240v. You just don't have any 240v outlets you know about.

I've never seen a house without a dryer recep.

They bring in 240v, which is 2x120v. They then use both of the phases to power all your 120v receps.

So all you have to do is install a 2 pole breaker and magically you have a 240v circuit! :flipoff2:

Would have to be a unique (and probably old) setup to only have 120v feed to a main panel.

I've heard of houses now having like 400-600 amp service even. Most places here are 100 or 125 amp.

I had made a 4 prong twist to 3 prong welder cord to power my welder off the gen set but it's disappeared to Narnia it seems.
Same with a "widow" plug to backfeed the welder cord and my drill bit sharpener.
And probably bunch of other stuff I don't even remember.

I need to interview the man. He is a very smart guy he just lives his own life on his own rules. He is one of the nicest people around too.

I have heard the story from a few people he was out in vegas and when it was time to go home he gave his car to some homeless person then hitchhiked all the way back home. This would have been back in the 70s or 80s before todays homeless takeover.

damn, now this has me looking at another welder. The 210mvp does wire duty well, but Ive been itching for an inverter stick, like a hobart 160 or esab 180

god damn it.

adapter came tho, my touch electric sensor not beeping when I touch the wires, but maybe its the thick insulation. Ill know tomorrow when I bring the welder home

Most people don't need much. I have a 225 on my garage with 100 to the house and 125 in the garage.

The problem comes with SQ FT calculations used by the NEC to determine load, and old info. They figure everything like you're still going to use 100w light bulbs in every ceiling light.

Then you have the idiots installing shit like saunas, steam showers, and deck heaters. I just finished a house that had 500A of electric heat between all of those.

So yes, 600A+ services are fairly common in some places. Sometimes it's for installed equipment, sometimes it's simply space (doing some duplex condos that are 12.5k SQ ft right now, 800A per side. They sold for $50 million a side, so they can afford the power bill.)

What in the actual fuck ?

I drove across three states sitting on a milk crate to save my uncles old truck from the crusher when the old family farm was sold

... after pulling the fender off the tire with a farm jack( why it was parked) and cleaned out the tank to get it running (poorly)
... had to stop every so often to blow out the fuel filter
... in July
... in a 65 GMC pick up
... without ac
