I went to my local machine shop to get a new driveline made for the rear of my XJ. Specs: 6” rear leaf lift, ford 8.25” rear end, NP231 with SYE. I have seen that some say a CV, I assume double carden, driveline is necessary, and others not. It doesn’t look like there is too much angle, but I have only eyeballed at full droop. Should I do CV from the get go, or will just a regular slip joint, single U joint work okay?
