What's new

dog at a bunch of gummies

My sister had a puppy that ate a half sheet pan full of jello shots around 98-99. that bastard was down for 4 days. It would get up, walk four or five steps, use the bathroom, take another 2-3 steps and collapse. I can’t remember what it was exactly, some lab/pit mix

the most recent one i remember was my friends girlfriend was a huge pothead. worked in the dispensary, fully of anxiety, smoked more than humanly possible and did the “dabs?” the looked like crackpipe shit on top of all that…..she had a bluetick beagle that got into her bag of edibles and he was mostly down for a week and he still isn’t right a year later.
Beagle lost his faith in the system, he's seen the other side :rasta:

My buddy had a 140# half Chessie half Lab when he was a kid. His dad told us a story about the dog, his neighbor was having a big party and the dog was kinda coming over and getting pets and fetching for people. It was getting late and my buddies dad called the dog to eat and locked him in his kennel so he wouldn't be a nuisance to the party.
A few hours later the neighbor comes over and knocks.on the door and says he you need to come get your dog. They walk over and the dog is laying on a box of wine that's torn open asleep. They have to carry the dog back home it won't wake up. The dog stayed in it's kennel for 2 days only coming out to drink water.
Turns out the ripped open and drank three boxes of wine after it escaped its kennel.

Curious, what happened to his head? Hope the perp is missing a leg or head.

Has anyone actually had a dog die on them from this kind of thing?
Sounds like it's only temporary if they get poisoned from drugs intended for humans.

They say it's impossible to OD and die from THC. Other drugs dogs have gotten into surely have killed them.

Gotcha, he’s a busy boy! I’ve always wanted a bull terrier but have been hooked on dobies. He’s def a handsome boy as well.

Couple years ago my folks were visiting and my dad left the last little bit of a joint sitting on a concrete wall for later. We'll a little later he couldn't find it. 30 min later the dog started staggering around acting all weird. We made the connection and had a good laugh. Shit happens.

typical return from the creek.

It has the same effect on dogs it does on people. Not gonna die, but buckle up, you're going for a ride.
Enough alcohol will definitely kill a dog, same as with a person.

Chocolate is also blown out of proportion with dogs. It's not the chocolate that's toxic, it's the caffeine in actual cacao that's toxic. Most American chocolate has very little cacao in it so they'd have to eat a ton before it hurt them. Found that out in my teens, had a dog get into a bag of chocolate cookies and eat the entire thing. We rushed her to the vet who explained all that. Dog was completely fine.

he ate a whole bag of chocolate covered almonds last year.

Aunt and uncle's old bouvier ate a BIG chocolate cake...and the plastic figurines of a fisherman and fish on top of it.

No noticeable ill effects.

15 odd years ago my buddy was dating a chick and doing drugs and having pitbulls. Real classy life. She made magic cinnamon buns, packed one in his lunch, and put the pan with the rest on top of the fridge. 70lb pittie named felony climbed up on the fridge and cleaned the pan, then siezured and drooled for a couple days. Learned nothing, would go on to eat ounces of weed on several more occasions, as well as a 2x2 section of asbestos plaster off the wall one night.:homer:

Yep, they'll be fine. Unless it's a bunch or a a decent amount of dark chocolate.

Globally, milk chocolate contains only around 25% cocoa, average. With only part of that being cocoa solids. Like apple pie, it is actually more European than American. They created it in the first half of the 1700s, when people were consuming cocoa as a drink. Solids came later and still not developed by us. We are actually pretty low on the global scale for chocolate consumption.

White chocolate is zero cocoa solids and very little cocoa content as a whole. I know a pug that ate an entire bag of white chocolate Hershey Kisses with zero repercussion, other than shitting glitter for a while.

Back when my old dog was dying of cancer i absolutely gave her pot
My wife has some weed-derivative gummies for the dog for fourth of July stress, current dog doesn't care but our last two, options were pretty much dope them up or they'd be freaking out over the noise.

CBD gummies work as well if you don't want to get the dog actually high. It'll just help them relax. Run the risk of making them more anxious with weed gummies.

That might be what she has, I don't actually know specifically. Our mastiff was a couch potato normally, but went all paranoid stress case with fireworks. Some gummies and she was even more mastiff-ly than normal, other than not wanting to go outside when stuff was blowing up.
Our current pittie mix doesn't care, I expected him to be a high strung mess, but he's way more "whatever" about fireworks than the mastiff was.

Oh shit....you've not seen the movie cocain bear have you? You've created a monster :flipoff2:
:lmao: We put that on this weekend for the male jack russel. He is very scared of Cocaine Bears but loves the movie.

Our lab malamute mix eats weed. He ate three weed plants. The dogs know it as 'Medicine' so when they get hurt or sick I ask them if they want it or, they will bring me too it.

I gave the female JRT a full bud one night and she didn't move for about 8hrs. Just drooled and gave me death glares. She now refuses to partake in the 'Medicine'.

Father has been careful with his gummies, so the dogs haven't gotten them. He lost his meatballs off his plate last night to the dogs, but the weed was safe.

Happened to my sis, vets spotted it right away and said "at least it's not coke, the owner always blames the painter, plumber, whoever was in the house"

They did mention the gummies are much rougher on them than other edibles. Something to do with their pancreas? That pooch is a tiny fucker that was laid out 2 days

I didn't know that. Is it the sugar in them?

I don't remember i eat shrooms sometimes and any herb is smoked in a pinner or glass like nature intended so didn't ask but believe it was the sugar or something about the ingredients to make the jelly texture

I have yet to try shrooms.

I will add that I did also give my dogs the peanut butter THC bars for pain issues.

Idk why I thought of the part where "killer" started smoking Crack...

I've had a couple friends and families dog get into their stash. Give it s couple days and all will be good again.
