Probably a Tuesday question but does this bar add any structural integrity or is it to keep cars from rolling off the front? Was thinking of cutting it off so I can mount the larger box on the tounge but keep it further back

Can cars roll through the big box that's bolted down in front of the winch?

I'd be tempted to cut it out in the center for the box and leave a chunk on either side in the wheel path.

I've had that bar save me from a serious mess when the clutch was going out in my truck and I started it on the trailer. Foot on the clutch but the slave was shot and it wasn't releasing. Truck started in gear and lurched forward. That bar plus my ****ty brakes was barely enough to overpower the crawler gears and stall it out.

I took the box off after this pic. Plan is to combine the contents of both boxes into 1 and use the black box on the front with the winch hidden inside it. Plans to cut the bar off and weld it back on virtually instead of at the 45 degree the factory put it
