Since one you you shmucks had to post this link
Amazon.com : 196CC 4-stroke Vertical Diesel Engine Air-cooling System Single Cylinder Motor Hand Recoil Start 2.2KW 3000rpm : Patio, Lawn & Garden
It gave me a terrible idea and I had to buy it.

I pulled the 212 predator off my minibike today and installed this!

The gas one went 45-50 we will see what this does. I'm going to need some ideas on how to set up this throttle. I'll post some more pictures later.

I need to make some flanged for the intake and exhaust the predator stuff doesn't fit

Gambler 500 fl hosts some minibike races, I though that sounded really dumb so I had to buy one. We did a 24 hour endurance last year with 2 bike. Raining the entire time. Placed 3rd behind 2 professional teams that had like 10 bikes. The predator does pretty good but if the diesel works out it'll be interesting to see how it compares

Needs a turbo.

I've done some work on diesel turbos and no-one currently makes one small enough to work properly on these. Smallest diesel that'll work with a turbo (I think IHI RHF31 or Garrett GT06) was about 600cc and these are about 200cc.
Which means you run out of power before you get boost.

Well at least he'll have a cool muffler:flipoff2:

Add nitrous?

Got the exhaust done. Just have to heat wrap it. This thing rolls coal the entire time your driving it.
Here's what I did for the throttle. Still needs twerking but it's good.
It's going about 30, I need a better intake and twerk around the torque converter tuning, I need to.get it up to atleast 45

And I need to find stronger/thicker recoil line. The stems stuff I put in keeps snapping

The entire torque converter came from the predator, I'm actually going to try a overdrive lockout bushing on the drive clutch. These torque converters had overdrive and the stock is predators don't make enough power for that so it just bogs down. I think this is the same as it has black smoke the entire time I'm wot

So the predators air filter and adapter fit with minor trimming on the shroud. But it still black smokes at wot, so it wasn't the filter restricting it. Torque converter tuning next

So tuned the torque converter some. Wrapped the exhaust and took it on a test drive. I got it up to 40mph and it feels to accelerate faster, but then I look down.. any ideas?

Build it up with aladdin 3 in 1 brazing rod or whatever the harbor freight or fleet farm equivalent is, redrill it and bolt it back together. Maybe add a bracket and rubber isolator to the muffler to take some of the load off the flange.

If probably just use 2 pieces of flat or angle iron and 2 bolts and clamp it on

how did you get the torque conveter on? i thought these engines had a 20mm shaft? did you turn it down or get a differant pulley?
