It matters to plenty of moderates and independents. Maybe not a deciding factor, but certainly relevant. Pence was a huge turn off in 2016, it would be a huge mistake to get another nobody white RINO for a running mate. Especially at 78, it's entirely possible that his VP pick replaces him. If it's not someone that can be a competent replacement and someone people will vote for in 2024 it's a bad pick.

It has nothing to do with my feelings retard. It has to do with not wanting biden for 4 more years and knowing trump is his own worst enemy and also far from perfect. And you can definitely forget your scorched earth wet dream because he already showed he folds to the establishment most times.
He either listens way too much to people around him (fauci anyone?) or he gets his ego insulted and just cant help himself from running his mouth to little effect.
In short if he actually listened to people when they tell him to not do what hes going to do (run his mouth) and not the ones he shouldn't (like the ones who tell him to lockdown the entire country for a fucking year and personally pump as much national debt out as possible) we would actually have something. But alot of his supporters just can't admit he ever does wrong or sounds just as much an idiot as biden at times. Again ill vote for him. But not because i have some weird fantasy he is going all milei on us. He just will keep the place from getting any more fucked up. Maybe. And that will have to be good enough because there aren't any great options.
