Dammit Trump, why are saying stupid shit/smdh/

why is voting considered a good thing?

it lets you pretend that the state is yours to use while the reality is that you are the state's to use

Honest question: What were your factual and logical counterarguments?
Here are some of my comments:

The man that wants to destroy NATO also had us in less military engagements than ever in the last 75 years.

He also went to North Korea to talk peace, which nobody had done since the cease-fire.

Inflation may be down from its peak, but it’s still at very high historically.

One of the main achievements, I see this administration tout is the reduction of unemployment. Well, it’s easy to improve unemployment numbers when the government shuts down all businesses. That was done bipartisan, both parties printed money, which caused the inflation to run wild. But once we saw the writing on the wall, this administration continued to print money.

I’ve only taken a few Econ classes, so I’m probably not qualified to debate whether that was a good long-term strategy or not. But from my couch, it’s not the best.

Xxxxx, and trump has distanced himself from it it several times. 🤷‍♂️

The only people pushing it are the left as the reason that orange man bad

Xxxx I remember hearing similar things when he was elected in 2016. Fascism, new world order, etc. he did none of it. Aside from his SCOTUS appointments, he really didn’t do much with a long term effect.

That isnt context. That is changing what he said.
I thought that’s what he said. The lines leading up to it are context. I made them up, but that’s probably how it went. Do you have a transcript of the whole speech?

I'm not arguing that fact. But that's one of the narratives that's being spun. He feeds into it and others by pretty consistently saying dumb shit. If he would shut up more often there would be no question about his effectiveness as president.
They are going to spin a narrative and repeat soundbites and snippets no matter what.
Because Trump only cares about Trump. After this term he won't be eligible for reelection anyway so in his mind his supporters don't have to vote anymore. He was a lifelong Democrat. He doesn't give a shit about the Republican Party.

Why do you think Trump ran for president in 2016? And now?
Since running for president, do you think life has become easier or harder for him?

It's pretty obvious what he is saying in context. He is addressing a Christian audience and telling them that he needs that to get out and vote by any means they choose. That they can't sit out this time. That if they come out this time, all the issue that they care about will "be fixed" and they won't have to come out again in 4 more years because "their issues will be fixed" and they can go back to............not voting I guess?

He lost me on the last part about Christians not voting in numbers. I always thought they did but maybe Team Trump is afraid they won't support him because of the fraud/porn star stuff?? Not sure.

Regardless, in no way did he imply that democracy was ending and after this election, he would magically live to 180 and be a dictator until then.

Pick it up at about the hour mark. Maybe a little earlier if you want. He says the line at about 1:03 I think it was.

The way I understood it was a call to the ballot boxes for those who typically don't vote. Essentially saying put in the effort this one time to get him elected and then they can go back to not voting, but by getting him elected he is going to address these issues that keep plaguing our democratic processes.

But then you snip here and chop off words here and he is suddenly suggesting that no one will ever have to vote again because he is literally hitler with an agenda to take over as dictator for life like Choynah.:shaking:

I think this is what he meant. Definitely not what he said. I hope it doesn’t hurt his campaign.

"We will protect innocent life, and we will restore free speech in our country. And I will secure our elections. Our goal will be, as I said, one day voting with paper ballots, proof of citizenship, and a thing called voter ID. (Applause) You know, when you negotiate and I do that with the Democrats and I negotiate with them all the time on this. I say, look, we’re going to fix our laws with voting, we have to start with voter ID. Everybody has to — “No way!” — the discussion never even goes any further. I say, we have to have voter ID. It’s called voter identification. “No, we’re not going to do it.” Now, there’s only one reason they do that. because they want to cheat. There’s only one reason. You know, in their national convention, when they have their convention, they have a voter tag on them bigger than their chest, depending on who, whose, which chest we’re talking about. Bigger than this, I like this. It has their name, their serial number, it’s got the whole deal, middle name, past addresses, it’s got everything. Otherwise you can’t get into the Democrat National Convention. But with voting, one of your most important things you can do, maybe in many ways your most important, they don’t want to approve voter ID. That’s because they want to cheat. But until then, Republicans must win. We have to win this election. Most important election ever. (Applause) We want a landslide that’s too big to rig. If you want to save America, get your friends, get your family, get everyone you know, and vote, vote early, vote absentee, vote on Election Day. I don’t care how, but you have to get out and vote. And again, Christians — get out and vote! Just this time. (Applause) You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore. My beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you. Get out. You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good. You’re not going to have to vote."

No mention on Fox or Newsmax of Trumps asinine "You won't have to vote again in 4 years if you just vote for me this time" Shit like that is just what left expects from him.
Fukn A. I'm at a loss
so voting wont matter anymore if democrats win? kinda like what happened last election?

That right there. I've heard a lot of my left leaning kool-aid drinking friends say things along the lines of "He's going to do terrible things if he becomes president."

...except we've already seen what Trump will do as president. It happened. It's not some big, scary unknown, but the media is running with that idea.

Perhaps not, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. 4 years of peace, diplomacy, and America first policy is leaps and bounds better than any President has done in more than a century.

The SCOTUS appointments will have better long term impact than any policy could as well. Just a handful of SCOTUS decisions in the last 4 years have stripped a ton of power from the Feds and done a lot for civil rights, especially in regards to the 2nd. Those decisions would almost certainly have gone the other way had Hillary gotten SCOTUS picks.

Enough that it's got their panties in a bunch

Does anyone REALLY believe he meant to claim he was doing away with elections?

If they do truly believe this, should a person with that mental acuity be allowed to vote?
There's a reason The Atlantic and other far left liberal rags are the only ones running with this. It's clickbait for the Linkslides of the left. It's not actually changing any opinions.

Yeah, that's just saber rattling for the voter base in an election year trying to rehash the anger from Roe v Wade being overturned. It won't go anywhere.
Agree. I just find it funny that now that they are losing the "game", they want to change the rules. Very similar to playing board games with my 4 year old.

Sorry dude but Breitbart (Steve Bannon owner BTW) is equivalent to National Enquirer, World Weekly News or Newmax so hardly a "credible" source for legit news, opinion maybe but rarely credible.

Newsmax is probably the best out of all the big news businesses

Someone asked for the transcript. I didn't post the Atlantic link, I just reposted it since it had the transcript in it.
