In NY if you assault someone with a tree branch, they will charge you with criminal possession of a weapon. Same charge applies if you point a toy gun at someone during an altercation. How common is this in other states, or is it yet another NY exclusive?

If he gives away his position he is fair game to smoke with something belt fed ?

My gut is belt fed or maybe belt restricted.

Shhhhhhh
Gavin will hear you :flipoff2:

I had an incident many years ago when my father in law gave me a 3/8" torque wrench. It was his, from his career as a mechanic. I tried to fly with it in my carry on bag and got flagged at security. An argument ensued about it being a weapon because I could hit someone with it. When I pointed to a lady's baby and declared it a weapon because you could hit someone with it I realized I should stop because I wanted to get on my plane. The lady was less impressed with me than the TSA agent.

I always taught me kid to note the location of any fire extinguisher when she walked into a facility. Not to put out fires, but as a publicly placed weapon in the event that shit went down.

(and to put out fires)

heard a story from a friend about a kid who found a thumbtack in the bottom of his shoe at school and put it in his pocket. It was brought to a teachers attention that he had the thumbtack and then There was some bullshit about him having a concealed weapon by the teacher and principal. Blamed the parents for letting the kid go to school with a weapon. He found it AT school. Rediculous

I used to fly with a small knife on my keychain. Flew literally dozens of times with it. Never an issue. Finally lost it in some small airport.

I also used to fly with a blue polymer mock up of a Glock 19 to demo rail mounted lights, etc. Literally never had an issue with that which is wild to think about.

It's crazy how pussified our country has become. When I was in highschool, a number of seniors had rifle racks in their back windows and their deer rifle in them, me included. I can't remember the last time I saw a back window rifle rack.

In California possession of a loaded and/or concealed handgun is a misdemeanor. Possession of a stick, billy club, or even a baseball bat you say is for "protection" is a felony.

Edit: After Yota Up quoted me, I looked this up. I forgot the crime of possession of a club was found to be unconstitutional by Saint (Judge) Benitez and is being appealed to a higher court by Attorney General Bonta.

:shaking:
The total separation of common sense and indoctrination is rapidly growing :stirthepot:

Sounds like the same sheeple who were masking children.

When I was in high school, it was always the rumor that if you carry a bat, you always carried a glove and a ball.

Which took it from a weapon, to us sports tool.

It was probably high school urban legend.:lmao:

I got one in my old truck still
ironically
it went to school with me and had a gun in it during school hours

as with most kids in my school

this is why we are not the same, younger gens are pussys :grinpimp:

I flew multiple times with a dead 30.06 round on my keychain. Literally had a stud through the primer pocket.
Fucking Philly TSA took it.

Not true.

I was convicted of possession of illegal weapon, in CA. It was a tire knocker I bought at a Flying Js and cop considered it a billy club. My criminal record shows it as a misdemeanor.

It is true. It's called a wobbler. It is a section that can be charged as a felony or a misdemeanor.

I think it was 12020PC, which was repealed in 2012 and broken up into different sections. After that, in 2020(?) the law relating to clubs was found to be unconstitutional.

I forgot about it being being found unconstitutional and looked it up when I read your post. I will edit my original post.

I think you can get that purged from your criminal history if you weren't convicted.

The worst part about the California gun charges I mentioned as misdemeanors is your gun is gone. Your not getting it back 99% of the time. The judge will order it destroyed. If you unlawfully carry in California, make it a cheap POS throwaway gun.

If you keep a bat around at home or in the trunk, make sure you have a baseball mitt, ball, etc nearby

A axe handle works well also, modified with barbed wire and spikes if you have the stones.

I flew OAK to SeaTac w/ a carry on satchel full of tools. 7 circular blades, superbar, catspaw, 19oz decker, 24oz framer, and several sharp chisels. They took nothing.

That was late 2000

On the way back, SeaTac said no to the sawblades but long handled hammers with rip claws and strong prybars / chisels were ok.
