Costco Rotisserie Chicken

I take coolers and ice with me and get 4-8 Rotisserie Chickens with every visit. I vist once every couple months. I bring them home and my wife and I break them all down and split the meat into white and dark. We then portion them into portion bags and put them in the freezer.
Well that is an interesting idea. Betcha it ends up pretty cheap, even with bones.

I live 4ish hours from the nearest Costco. I take coolers and ice with me and get 4-8 Rotisserie Chickens with every visit. I vist once every couple months. I bring them home and my wife and I break them all down and split the meat into white and dark. We then portion them into portion bags and put them in the freezer. We use the meat to make multiple meals a week. It is by far the most cost effective way we have found to get chicken for recipes, and we both think it tastes damn good.

My wife grew up within walking distance of a Costco, so she has shown me the Costco light, haha. We have the elite membership and spend enough money there that it more than pays for itself with the cash back. I can't imagine how much we would spend there if we lived close to one.

Ditto on breaking them down. We buy what we can when we go just for putting into other dishes. I usually eat the legs and wings for lunches.

You can start with this one.

packing on a few extra pounds these days, arent ya, handsome?

:flipoff2:

I was reading this article about people bitching that Costco changed the packaging for their rotisserie chicken.

It contained the fact that Costco sold 137 MILLION CHICKENS IN 2023!!

That's 365 million in sales of $5 chickens in one year. That's 375,000 chickens a day.

Anyway, carry on. That is all.
Some assholes will bitch if their balls were in a gold vise, they'd demand platinum.

The new CEO is a Costco Veteran.

The new CFO though is from Kroger and they did a great job ruining that store.

I just complain (officially) when I don’t like stuff. Paying member and all. We are 72% of the profit they make. So far they reneged on several things we complained about. Except the chicken in a bag.

Love the Costco chicken, they have stiff competition from the local supermercado chain though, 8 peices of chicken (leg and thigh), tortillas, and salsa, for $6. Chicken is grilled El Pollo Loco style, they will brown the tortillas for you if like. On multi day wheeling trips I will pick up 2x, and eat legs and thighs for 3 days straight

Put the Silkie down bruh. Lol. We have a silkie named Elvis. He’s a fuckin machine. There isn’t a hour that goes by he doesn’t have some hen pinned down pouring the coals to her lol
They are my brothers. He wanted two females, ended up with two males .

Not something I buy often.
Those chickens are a sodium bomb, and who knows what they inject in them to get them to that size.

Have not tried those ribs as of yet, perhaps something to try out at some point.

Costco is my go to for certain items anymore, their prices are not as competitive for other things I get at my local food stores.
