So this popped up on an add today, and I really don't need it...but I kinda want one! :flipoff2:

What other cool shit is there you don't need but will most likely buy?

X products can cannon. No good use for one other than my own entertainment. But for some reason I feel like I have to have one.

I watched Practical Engineering's recent video about stream paths (river channels) and found some new artwork for my office.

Harold Fisk (Corps of Engineers) mapped the historic stream channels and ox bowls of the Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau to the Gulf, in the 1940s. I love maps, navigational charts, and globes. I've framed several maps and charts of places I've been to or special to me over the years. I'm pretty nerdy, I work in soil and water science research, and already have a map of all the HUC12 watersheds of the state on my office wall, I decided I need some of these prints too.

get the one that can do golf balls also.

Having used one with a full soda can, its defiantly a need. I know for a fact i wouldnt want to be hit by one of those cans. it goes way further then i expected

hard pass depending on your intention of use is. they don't pic up things great and your range to id what your looking at is low.

Always wanted this exact model. I'll have it this year when I find the right one bundled with tooling and extra chucks.

I restored a similar Craftsman model (back motor, not under cabinet motor) years ago and sold it before I even powered it up. Unfortunately, all my pictures were on photobucket.

this is why I will never purchase property within sight of a river
water does what it wants, and there is nothing you can do to stop it, slow it maybe

You know, a year or two ago, I actually said fuck it and paid the 69 bucks to get access back to my photobucket from the old IBB days. I was able to save them all, then I let it run out the next renewal. You should see if you can still get them. I had no idea, as I thought all my PB shit was just gone.

Nailed it. Here in CA it's easy to get caught up in anti-tyrannical gun grabbing. Mag ban lifted for a week? Make a huge order or three. Online ammo being banned? Tick off the UPS guy some more. The 80% craze and its impending demise here didn't help.

I dropped a solid $8K on guns and ammo before NY's latest bullshit. Although in retrospect it may have been overboard considering I'm looking to leave the state soon anyway.

Someday I'll have an International Harvester M1 Garand. I'll probably never shoot it, but I think they are cool. Has to be an IH.
I'll shamelessly use any opportunity to show it off I can. I've only shot a dozen or so clips through it since I've had it.

I want an old IH D Series with a gun rack in the rear window just for the Garand. :grinpimp:
