it's prolly wierd, but that really shiny accord catches my eye more than the chevelle

kinda like how someone will bring a showroom perfect K-car to car shows sometimes and it gets a lot of attention, just because every single other one has been abused and crushed

No, K cars were piles of shit that disintegrated. Like most late 70's and early 80's cars. They all sucked, shitty design and poor quality.

This guy has one, maybe two, rides for sale a year parked out front. Never piles of junk.

And just because I think it’s cool. 379 Pete glider kit on a Freightshaker running gear

At the last place I worked, was the owners moms car. Had like 25k miles on it.

Still a pile of steaming pile of shit :flipoff2:
I swear those things came from the factory with a rod knock and a leaking valve cover gasket.

In my hay-day of pumping gas, it was the K Car and the Dodge Caravans that would clatter their way to the pumps, get $3 worth of gas and 2 quarts of oil. You would pop the hood and bathe in the oil smoke that came off the valve cover.

I'm not proud to say that my family's place of business was solely responsible for keeping countless numbers of those things on the road, simply because we sold dirt-cheap quarts of oil and put it in for free.

Every dodge anyone in my family has ever owned was a check the gas and fill the oil type of vehicle. Used, new, all burning oil like a 2 stroke.

I had alot of good times in a GN.
A friend growing up (pretty much family), became a roommate 2nd year of college. i wont get into his old mans buick collection, but while we lived at the same place he daily drove a stage2(i dont know what stage2 means just that the old man was proud of the repopped badges) GS drag car, and the GN.

the roomy was 2yrs older, his brother was my age and highschool thru his schooling (helo pilot, does the tree triming thing) he only drove one car, a drop top skylark. it wasnt fast but was a damn cool car. since he moved out of state the skylark has had a full resto... and its quick now.

those cars (GS and GN) are the first time i ever felt what it was like to be pushed into your seat.

the last family gathering they were at the old man drove this. 100% original never been restored. i remember as a kid guys coming to their house to template the stripe for a clone car.

the GN and the skylark were always my 2 favorite cars they had. the yellow car we put a dent in the back bumper when kids and i rarely see it. i'm not into things that don't get used.

The GSX has always been one of my favorites. I’d go with the black but I would not kick that survivor out of my garage.

I‘ve had that GN since 92. I had another I built from 2 theft recoveries in 95. Built motor and trans, cage, big brakes, and a full Global West suspension kit. It was a blast and I kicked a lot of ass with it until that fucking LS1 came out 😁. It ran 11.77 at 20 psi and was a mid to low 12 second car on street tires and pump gas.

I’ve had the Vista since 03.. it’s been GN powered about 10 years now. Was a 94 LT1 before that. It has a Global West front end , 12 bolt posi and big brakes also.

The GN motors are finicky but they can also be reliable. For quite some time I had all 3 at daily driver status.
