Colorado Voters Decide To Tax Firearms, Ammo

Well obviously I voted against it. At least ammo is widely available again. Waiting period on gun purchases is even more annoying and that passed last year. What the hell are we supposed to do? Move to the show me how to drive state?:flipoff2:Nope, they're stuck with me here.

Guns and fireworks on the WY side and weed on the CO side. :smokin:
And Colorado LE cry every year about all the illegal fireworks coming in from out of state for the Fourth, but see no issue with our zillion weed shops right by the border.

The guns n ammo tax was flown high on "to fund mental health services" with barely a snippet telling what it'd apply to. And I'm sure if you broke it down geographically, it was crammed down the rest of our throats by Denver and Boulder.

In Colorado simply removing all the illegal voters and dead people will probably achieve the same goal

Level of retardation is high though.

Colorado failed to prevent Californication starting before I got here in the mid 90’su

There are so many illegal votes in CO. My daughter is a freshman at CU. Her roommate is from Mass, she voted and voted yes on every amendment and proposition told my daughter they must be good if they are on there. Didn’t even read them. A freshman, living in the dorms, paying non resident tuition, claimed by her parents on their tax return, registers to vote same day and votes. All of this is encouraged by the university. I go check the SOS website and it is this. Voting while in College

Student decides! That is why the state is strongly blue.

College kids voting fucks Vermont equally.

If you chose a college in a state you don’t live in, you should already be happy with the way things are, so no need to change them.

In Ca heard a $500 box of ammo now has a $250 tax under the new legislation
Its 11%, an additional 11% on top of sales tax which is 8.25% in my county so 19.25% total tax.

$500 purchase with 19.25% comes to $96.25 in tax.

Its bullshit either way. And it will solve nothing. I am all in for tar and feathering these assholes

Time to open an ammo stand, next to the WY fireworks stands, on the CO/WY border.
I would and will from now on give all my pew money to Wyoming. It's only a 2 hour drive.

For now, I made a rather large online order today and will continue to do so as I can afford and before the tax hits.

Add me to yet another watch list. 🖕

Cigarettes are north of $20/pack here.

Hardly anyone still smokes, everyone vapes or uses those dip packs instead.

Cranking the taxes on em has worked.
I just found a place to get $50 cartons. Funny thing is that there's no stamp on the packs.

That's what's happening here. Now we're firmly blue and will be facing all kinds of anti-gun shit like this after the next election cycle. Our only saving grace is that the VA Bill of Rights, Section 13 is almost verbatim the 2nd Amendment in the part regarding citizens owning arms. That and we're not in the 9th Appellate district like Western states are. It's still gonna suck, but at least our shit has a fighting chance of being overturned in courts.
I prefer purple

Looking at the way the congressional districts in Va are laid out screams Gerry Mandering
