If we can't buy there, they should never be able to buy here.

We really should take back any land or property purchased by any country or foreign national, if we are not able to do the same in their country of origin. Along with any US business that was purchased or taken over by any foreign entity, if that entities country does not allow us to do the same. Make it fair. All of it.

How much land in China do Americans own? Genuinely curious.

Funny story... around 20 years ago when China was really starting to kick it in high gear with production, some US tire company built a new plant there. 6-7 yrs later (after all the kinks were worked out) some guys with AK's kicked them out and seized the property/equipment. All of it. So what did the tire company do? Well, they built 2 new tire plants in China.
