Bought this machine at auction.It is well worn. 1973 model. Replaced battery, starter died after a few starts. Replaced it. Had the old girl pressure washed,made seeing leaks better. She has a lot of slop in pins. Has water in hyd oil,have changed it once sorta, drained reservoirs, changed filter,refilled. Yes I get it that cylinders are still full of milkshake . Put front tires on her too. Rebuilt the left spindle.

Awesome. That's what I learned to run at about 10. Had to stand up to push the swing pedals and the front bucket was my brake. Love it.

What does a dead battery, dead starter, needs tires, and milkshake oil unit like that cost at auction?

My neighbor has a 580K with the cummins that he's hinting at selling, but hasnt tossed out a price. His needs tires, but is otherwise in good care.

Scrap to full retail depending on the crowd at the auction and how stupid the bidders are.

On CL/FB here in Upstate/Western NY something like that is usually $800-3000 for a pre 1990 unit, or $2000-10,000 for a newer one depending on how much work it needs, what condition it is in, what accessories it has, where it's located (near a city vs "y'all caint get theah from heah") and how optimistic the seller is.

A "K" is much newer than mine.
