Im looking to get a little spray hose attachment and soap to make my life easier.

Ive seen those adds where the soap goes on and magically removes the dirt etc without the need to actually hand wash...this has to be a scam right?

I currently use chemical guys Mr pink. Just seeing if theres anything else better out there that can knock off most of the dirt/bugs etc

ETA:
I like Mr pink cause I can wash on my lawn and not kill it. Save the earth and reuse my water and such

I think it depends. If you have a nicely waxed vehicle with smooth paint and the dirts not too bad, then that foam wash stuff can work well. However, if your like me using it on my family crawler 94 4runner with the oxidized and never waxed paint, then its going to suck.

this is the most important thing. I have a sweet di filtered car wash setup I built in my garage. if you buff and wax your shit, even the windshield then things don't have as much to hold too. think sanding before you paint. otherwise no matter how good the soap is it'll be tough

I don't think I've ever owned anything I'd put that much effort into washing. I'm impressed with your commitment.

I have a very expensive ceramic coating on my truck. I don't think the foam cannon is worth it. Yes the coating keeps the vehicle cleaner and yes the foam helps loosing up the dirt, but it does not wash your vehicle.

I have a foam cannon thing for my hotrod. The soap foam sprayer is good for putting soap on so you can wash it with a rag. I'd rather just use a bucket with soapy water, it's pretty much the same thing.

I like the foam cannon things. Works well with “good” soap and dish soap.

Elbow grease is the only "cure" unless your shit never gets dirty at all.

I was at the car wash yesterday fixing a foam brush line in one of the self serve bays and didn't even bother running my dually through the auto bay cause it isn't worth the wasted product on my shit.:lmao:

The wife's bronco is ceramic coated and kept clean and in the garage so it gets run through there whenever she drives it up that way. Come winter we'll see how that fancy ceramic works.

So, no, I don't think that attachment is worth it.

Foam cannon does a good job applying a decent even coating of soap, but even on my pampered car a mitt is required, I use a pink carwash soap, foam cannon, good mitt that gets replaced a couple times a year, and a solid rinse with DI water, rims and glass get dried and treated, paint gets ceramic coated once a year, and with DI water it dries spot free in the sun.

Y’all are buying distilled water to wash your cars?

Do y’all dry them with your pinky out? :flipoff2:

I looked at getting one of those end of the hose spray bottle things for the trailer, until I started reading all of the warnings

I use Simple Green and a soft brush on a extendable pole/handle on the trailer. The car and truck to Quick Quack.

Yup, I have a 1.5 cubic yard DI tank that costs me about $50 every 6 Months to have re charged, I call it Crack water cause once you use it you can't live without it.

I have two nice cars that live in the garage and I take care of, Drying paint causes a ton of micro scratches, and takes time to dry.

So yes I'm a car wash snob, and stand by my DI tank :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

What warnings are you reading? it applies car wash soap evenly over the body of the car. the same soap you would put in a 5 gallon bucket and apply with a mitt.

Don't shove it up your ass and you'll be fine.

I’ve got a foam cannon, I bought to hose my siding down with bleach water, but It uses way too much bleach for that it’s great for soaping up a car though. You still have to use a brush or rags to actually get the dirt off.

Pressure washer + truck scrubbing brush + bucket w/ whatever nice car wash soap is on-hand.

Washing brush scratches help hide the tree + brush scratches :flipoff2:

I can’t find it online. I’ll get a pic of the back of the bottle next time I’m in Wally world.

Bunghole is exit only :flipoff2:

What cars deserve this attention?

And please post when you sell.

I can appreciate your attention to detail and dedication.

I used to prefer my white trucks look like a cheese grater ran down the sides. Meant I was getting to the good hunting spots. :flipoff2:

I have two sides, one finds it's way on every rock in the desert, the other is going out of my way to outshine the next guy. I like a clean well detailed car. It's a matter of pride.

and it's an obsession.:homer:
