I like my camp chef I have a four burner flat grill the Blackstone if I remember correctly its a thinner top and no baffles when the camp chef does.

The Camp Chief has adjustable legs to level it and you can get the grill box. I love my grill box on my three burner camp chief.

Yes it is fully worth the price to go to the Camp Chef. We have a couple of Explorer 2 burner stoves w/griddle, grill box and pizza oven, a pellet smoker and the big daddy 900 Flat Top Grill. All are well constructed, have good heavy burners. I would put the grill box up against the most expensive grill for cooking a steak. Cooked 400 pork burgers on the 900 Flat Top one night, no hot/cold spots on the grill top and it sipped propane for the amount of time we had it running. As said, the steel cook tops are very thick and hold/disperse heat very well. Their customer service is also excellent. I broke the stone in the my pizza oven for the Explorer 2 burner, it isn't listed on their website to replace so I called to order one, they refused to let me pay anything for the new stone/shipping. Oh and their spatula kicks ass too.

I've had good luck and performance out of the Coleman road trip grills with 2 or 3 burners. I have half griddle half grill and we do most of our cooking on it.

Are these not the hot thing anymore? I remember hearing a ton about them a few years ago. Maybe the fad was overrated. Does anyone have experience compared to conventional camp cooking?

Anyone with either of these camp grills, where are they made ? Thanks . . . No need for troll giz from pubescent too thin gay boyz.

Edit: Doldo Do you actually have either device ? Maybe just a dildo version ??

I was looking at those too. Not sure I'm "overland" enough for one though. They should make a kit that comes with maxxtraxx and a Factor 55 thimble. :flipoff2:

How the fuck do you think I warm up my dildos while overlanding? Kids these days...

I have the camp chef, it's nicely built and works well. I tend to use my 3 burner camp chef stove with a separate griddle more often though. The blackstone stuff is walmart grade garbage in my opinion.

Either way, if you have room for it, a big propane tank conversion is a nice upgrade.

I got the camp chef 2 burner stainless. also went on amazon and got the stainless griddle for it. I like that I dont have to worry so much about rust. yea the griddle warped a bit and takes a bit more to get non stick. But its worth it to me.

I have the 18" blackstone and love it. Bought it after someone at work showed me theirs. Since I started bringing mine to wheeling/camping trips, at least 5 others in my small wheeling circle have bought them. The 18" is single burner. I think 22" is the next size up and is dual burner. I would have bought that one if I had realized it at the time.

The blackstones are more wobbly in the legs. Griddles are about the same, as are the grill boxes....The Blackstone is what I have, and I've used both. Had I not bought the Blackstone barely used for dirt cheap, I'd have the camp chef.

I usually take my Weber Q with me when camping but now that I'm using my YJ more it doesnt fit like it does in my Land Cruiser so I'm looking for something a bit more portable.

Has anyone used both of those? Blackstone is about half the price of the Camp Chef. Wondering if it's worth stepping up to the Camp Chef.

I am not a chef, I don't like cooking...

We RV camp, I got the 22" blackstone with the stand, bag etc. and I am not overjoyed with it solely from the amount of weight/setup/size.
I lobbied my wife to get the 17" but she over ruled me because we cook for large groups on camping trips.

I hope to sell it and get the smaller 17" table top.

As far as cooking, I suck at it but it is bad ass for cooking breakfast meats, fajitas etc.
I can't cook any solid meats, chicken steak etc. on it but like I said I am not good.

Scrambled eggs are a challenge on it too.

For Fuck's sake.
Where is your cast iron made?

All products are created in the United States and manufactured in China.

That's a slick Willie answer, about like Kamala Harris with Willie's Willie in her mouth.

OK, so anyone that has the BlackDick. Is made by the Communist Party or elsewhere ? Anyone ever even bother to look for a label ?

Damn, don’t be so angry. I’m in the market for one of these myself, and will eventually buy a multi-burner one. My 28” Blackstone at home is surely from China. You know what it’s built 100 times better than? The made-in-America rv that will carry my future Chinese camp chef.

I can't find it anywhere, but their website has the usual "All products are designed and engineered in the USA." which tells me there's a 99% chance they're made in Jyna.

A bit different than what your choices are so far, we've been happy with a Volcano grill, collapses into a fairly stowable bag (fits behind seat of full-size truck), I use the nomex oven cover almost always. Use wood, charcoal or propane.
