California Ban on hi-capacity magazines overturned

Please post up a vendor if you were successful in placing an order from CA. I'll do the same if I find one.

When I can walk into a LGS and pull a standard capacity magazine of the rack, only then will I believe it has been truly overturned

Nah. Remember last year? We couldn't walk into anywhere to pick up off shelf, yet those of us that were quick enough got our orders in and were able to get items shipped from out of state.

Yeah... right now local shops are mostly cleaned out, have been for a while 😕

I wonder if this stock would be cool for CA compliance?

Can't order. They said some smaller court is holding it up.
Called another place, can't order. Said they are waiting for a letter from DOJ.

What's the deal here? Should I bother calling more places? Is there a chance some vendor may actually ship it?

from the link
un owners cannot immediately rush to buy high-capacity magazines because a stay issued by the lower court judge remains in place.

But Becerra did not say if the state would seek a further delay of Friday's ruling to prevent an immediate buying spree if the lower court judge ends that restriction. Gun groups estimated that more than a million high-capacity ammunition magazines may have legally flooded into California during a one-week window before the judge stayed his ruling three years ago.

If that's the one I tried years ago, it weighs nine godzillion pounds & you don't want it.

Choate (or Choade ) I think? Heavy sumbeesh.

I went back to the factory stock & put a slip-over recoil pad to increase length of pull.

. . . waiting for all the flaming assholes that flamed me when I asked what the fuck have they ever done $$$ to support the 2AF and the NRA. Or any legal enterprise with anything more than bullshit and braggadocio. Your turn post up bitches. A big fuck you for your nothingness. For the record it was the CA Rifle and Pistol Association lawsuit.

Butthurt, party of one.

I like how the Alien makes the case that gun owners should be more involved in legal battles, and then someone just comes out with an inane and stupid response like "butthurt party of one"

Everything about restriction of rights and how the Marxists have gained control of this country is summed up in that one response.

Butthurt. Party of one. :shaking:

Fuck

I have a couple MAGPUL 10/30 Pmags around here somewhere, if this makes it through I can make them standard capacity

The Senate confirmation of Lawrence VanDyke and Patrick Bumatay to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals this month brought to nine the number of appointments President Donald Trump has made to the 29-member bench that serves as the last stop for nearly all legal complaints lodged in nine Western states. Democratic-appointed judges now hold a three-seat majority, compared with 11 at the start of Trump's presidency.

Quality post.

Trump has packed a bunch of Courts and this is the single most important issue for a 2nd term. He has re-made the 9th and that is the underlying reason for the riots.

He gets maybe THREE MORE picks on SCOTUS but he has already re-made the legal landscape of America.

That is why the Left has pulled out all the stops in a 100% gamble to defeat Trump.

Alito and Thomas are by-far the most Conservative Justices on the bench right now and they are rumbling about retiring.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg193387Liberal1993Bill Clinton
Stephen Breyer193882Liberal1994Bill Clinton
Clarence Thomas194872Conservative1991George H.W. Bush

Elena Kagan196060Liberal2010Barack Obama
Brett Kavanaugh196555Conservative2018Donald Trump
Neil Gorsuch196753Liberal2017Donald Trump

Ginsburg, Breyer, and Kagan are all Jews, and Ginburg and Breyer are old as dirt. This is significant because the Jewish press is already talking about keeping their 33% representation on the Court, but I think Trump will pick a conservative Latino to replace the at least one of two that will die/retire next term.

Ideally he would pick a conservative Mexican Chicano female, but I don't know where he's going to find one. Sotomayor is Puerto Rican, and she barely represents them as it is, and Mexicans and Ricans get all ass-hurt if you confuse the two.

Jews are going to be lobbying HARD to keep Ginsburg and Breyer's spots Jewish, but this is an opportunity for Trump to pick a conservative Mexican to replace them.

Out of all the political shit going on this is the show that will be most entertaining. Trump yanking a young Mexican pick out from the Democrats is going to be gold, pure gold. A 50 year old hardcore conservative Mexican, c'mon baby, let's see it :lmao:

Grabagun.com says they’re now shipping all capacity magazines to California

Might see if I can get a couple mags for the .22 pistol :homer:

Hope this sticks this time. The supreme court might actually take it up since there are conflicting ruling in different districts.

As for the SKS, leave it alone. The removable mags are all junk and don't feed reliably. The aftermarket stocks are all junk, except the Choate machine.

If you really need a removable mag on an SKS, get a type M or D. My type "M paratrooper" was very accurate and reliable for what it was. Didn't really fit in my collection so I sold it on.
The one I had was very tight fitting on eastern block mags. Chinese and Korean mags fit better.

There are 20 round fixed mags that are supposed to be mostly reliable.

A local shop here posted on facebook that they had 300 and would sell them with a limit of 5 and you had to come into the store. They were sold out in under an hour.

I got a couple during “freedom week” last time this happened.

I've been a contributor to the FBC, 2nd Amendment Coalition, CalGun, 2OA....what more do you expect? ...MrIAssumeImUniquelyAwesome?
The NRA have proven themselves to be little more than cucks.

The shopping cart is the ultimate litmus test for whether a person is capable of self-governing. To return the shopping cart is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. To return the shopping cart is objectively right. There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to return their cart. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon your shopping cart. Therefore the shopping cart presents itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not returning the shopping cart, you gain nothing by returning the shopping cart. You must return the shopping cart out of the goodness of your heart. You must return the shopping cart because it is the right thing to do. Because it is correct. A person who is unable to do this is no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them with a law and the force that stands behind it The shopping cart is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of society.

Way to get me to waste 15m. That video kept getting better

Was it really a waste of time then? Are not shopping carts the moral equivalent of standard capacity magazines in our day and age? Don't fences make great neighbors?

This is shit to ponder.

Domiciled in Texas but hanging out in Colorado. Didn’t know they had restrictions here (but should have as fucking liberal as they are here). What are limits on mags here &/or folding collapsible stocks? Asking for a friend.

Effective July 1, 2013, Magazines that are capable of accepting more than 15 rounds or are designed to be readily convertible to accept more than 15 rounds cannot be sold or transferred within state limits.

However, the law does not prohibit you from owning any mags that you owned before the ban went into place. Effectively, it is near impossible to enforce the order. So much so that many gun shops in Colorado will sell you an assembled 30- round mag as a 'parts kit'.

AFAIK, there are no laws in Colorado regarding folding stocks. Yet.

I'm not hung up on removable mags, I just want to get a 75 rd drum and plan on not removing it. So it fits ok when I plug it in the first time, it will stay that way. Not looking to be able to swap mags, just for the capacity of the 75 total. With that in mind, I take it the after market stock will be needed just to receive the drum.

AK operators union said they are shipping to CA.

They are not. They are just taking orders and will cancel the orders unless the ruling is finalized within a week.

Ah okay I just saw a tagline on his youtube stating he was. Should have watched the vid. :homer:

NO a foregrip is basically a cover to the area of the barrel to keep you from burning your hand.

A vertical grip is the thing that yall are taking about.

Geeze.

Whoops I'll correct it. So is it the flash hider or just the threaded barrel?

Is what the flash hider or threaded barrel ?

In the corporation known as the state of California there are two builds one is featureless and the other is evil features but legal with a mag attachment device.

Featureless is legal if it does not have evil features evil features include

Pistol grip
Folding stock
Flash Hider (muzzle brake is legal)

Here this is easier..

Shouldn't need an aftermarket stock to take the drum mag.

No idea if they are shipping to Cali or not.
No idea how reliable they are, but you have a vision.

Have you ever lugged around a rifle with a loaded drum? They are damn heavy, and wide. They don't sling nearly as well, but if you want to have a good time go for it.
