I do it all the time. Do your homework, you’re fine. If you’re still worried about it have them agree to you putting the money in an escrow account.
Glendive is the middle of nowhere...
I'm actually going through there this weekend, but will probably be going through about midnight.
It's more the like the turn off to go to the middle of nowhere. it was usually the point where I either started thinking about work or pointed the truck and turned my brain off for 3 hours.
At my previous employer, we sold and repaired paving equipment as one of our lines. So we worked with smaller contractors and we'd let them use our yard for drops occasionally, as we had a dock and forklifts. One bought a newer, maybe 4yo bobcat from "skidsteersofhouston.com" or something, it showed up with the freshest thickest glossiest white paint holding together titanic looking rust chunks
I texted a pic to my boss, "Uh, do we accept or refuse this? "
Not our problem
Thanks, my money should be in there account by then. Hopefully the loader is real. lol
Wife is freaking out, but that's what wives do. Sales guy sent vids, pics, etc. I know, it can all be cheap faked like Biden getting lost on stage, but website looks legit, Google shows the building and lot. Again, anything can be faked.
Guess we'll see when it shows up...unless we try another IBB drive across Murca at 20-23 MPH
Private party seller or? Glendive isn't real big, if I don't know them I probably know somebody who doesThanks, my money should be in there account by then. Hopefully the loader is real. lol

Loader just showed up...steering wheel holder made good time.
Picked it up about 3 local time in Montana. 18 hours roughly according to Google. Possible, but pushing it.
It's all good though...he put his hard hat on to unload it...right along with his steel toed flip-flops.
You got something against safety sandals?
Who am I to judge?
Engrish is not his first language.
That was understood when you said truck driver.
Need to do a bit of investigating on the 444.
It doesn't move when the fluid is cold and it is in "Auto". Could be something as simple as low fluid, haven't checked it yet. Haven't done anything other than running it around a bit. It shifts fine beyond that, no slipping at all. Not really sure how the "Auto" function works with transmission...if there's a solenoid or something that senses the load to downshift and that is bad?
Other than that, everything appears to be good.
Wiring payment for a 624 out of Pennsyltucky today. Shipping to be scheduled after the transfer is complete.
Drop the trans pan and clean the screen. Then refill with fresh fluid. My case was doing the same thing.
Yeah, supposedly they did a "full" service...which probably means engine oil change, air filter, fuel filters and maybe the hydro filter?
Probably just need to top off fluid then. On mine the pickup for the trans is surprisingly close to the top of the "full" fluid level. 2-3quarts low and it will not move when cold. I assume when it's warm either the fluid warms and expands to reach the pickup or something?
