I'll try to keep this short.
Had quite a long journey myself. Had one ruptured and one bulging.
Doctor was like, try sleeping on the floor, buy some new shoes.
Took a year and calling the doctor a quack before I got an MRI.
He sent me for epidural. It helped but short term. Got my max for that year, still in pain.
Started seeking surgeons. Found the "best" one that everyone recommended, Got an appointment. Waited my 6 months for an appointment.
get to appointment only to have doctor tell me he doesn't do them anymore.
But he told me to go see his pain specialist.
I did, he gave me a epidural like I have never had before. I walked out of there like a new man.
Got shots from him for a couple years, always did great.
There is a difference in epidural people. After finding the second guy I realized that first guy that stuck me, he should not be doing epidurals.
If getting the epidural is not the most painful thing you have ever felt in your life, then they did not do it right.
In edit, I was completely anti med. I had Celebrex that I would start taking when the pain came and I was waiting on my next appointment.
