Bosch Dishwasher Problems...

Yeah, I fucking hate that. Company gets bought out by equity group for their good name/product/tech, then first thing is to fuck the employees, then cut corners on production, get that EBITA up and flip it to some other EG.
Yea, and in the meantime some of the products are still good while others are junk. And then eventually they all become junk.

I just hauled off a maytag washing machine earlier this year that was a 3 year old pile of utter garbage. Gramps was a maytag worshipper and is probably rolling over in his grave.

My Mom re-modeled the kitchen in her condo a few years ago with all Kitchen Aid appliances, you know, the gold-standard. They were shit, the ice maker went out twice in 5 or 6 years, two of the elements under the cooktop died, and the microwave just completely shit the bed. It's just her, not like she's got a house full of teenage boys she's cooking for...or maybe I don't know what's goin on down there.

I'm dealing with the same thing in our house right now, all 3yr old Samsung super nice, bling bling baller garbage. The oven hasnt given my any trouble... everything else ive worked on. :shaking:

I keep a bag of ice in the shop fridge so we can get by when i do the "once a month" icemaker fix in the house.

I have a Samsung oven and fridge. Purposely bought a fridge with no ice maker. Has worked well since we bought it 6 years ago. Same as the oven and overhead microwave.

The 6 year old Samsung fridge has been fine so far, other than once in a while a piece of ice gets jammed in the ejector thingy, and it thinks it's full and a day or so later...no ice, but other than that it's been fine. [fangers crossed]

I have 2 Samsung fridges. One is flawless and the other is a gigantic POS. Both are around 5 years old. I guess the POS musta been a Friday or Monday build.

We bought this house 15 years ago this coming November. Maytag dishwasher. I don't know how old it was then but it was obviously not new. About a year later a letter comes from Maytag to previous owner or current resident, TSB. They will give cash toward new washer or send a service tech to fix. We chose to fix it but while the tech was here we found out the problem was this model had "burned a few houses down."

It's still here and so is the house. :homer:

so what is the brand to get ? seems everything is a POS.
My Bosch just quit yesterday its 21 plus years old, wont wash , water comes in and just runs forever until I open the door to spot it.
only repairs i had to do we installed a switch and a drain hose, so it was a decent dishwasher, I'm selling the house next year.

Wife’s replacement dishwasher showed up. Pretty sure I found a big issue with the Bosch.

I bought my Bosch DW second hand, fucker works like a champ, I dont rinse shit off my plates.

I’ve had iffy luck. I bought a new Samsung washer and dryer. The washer started rusting within a year. Samsung did take care of it, but with the caveat “we’ll only do this one time”. No break downs from it but it’s rusting again and eventually it starts staining the clothes.

The dryer passes so much damn lint that I can’t keep the outside vent clean. Once a week I have to pull it off the house and scrape it out or it stops drying.

But I have a lg fridge that’s been great. It’s nothing fancy though, just a side by side.

My 20 year old whirlpool dishwasher had the racks rot out and they were unavailable for replacement so I bought a ge basic unit. It’s loud as fuck. But so far no problems.

And the Frigidaire side by side fridge that came with the house has given me no problems.

So yea. Man. What to buy? Fuck if I know anymore!

I just don’t understand how that almost burnt my damn house down. Should’ve just wired it right together.

Kind of pissed at Bosch.

I know it's been a while, but I’ve had a couple of issues with my Bosch dishwasher, too, so I get the frustration. I found it helpful to check the spray arms to see if they were clogged with debris or food particles. It can mess with the cleaning power. Also, if it’s not draining correctly, check the filter; it’s surprising how much gunk builds up there. If none works, it might be worth calling in a pro. I’ve used musiccityappliance.services for repairs before, and they’re pretty great—super friendly and efficient. I think it’s always a good idea to get a professional to take a look if you’re stuck, especially with Bosch’s tech.

Man I miss my old ass Kenmore. That fucker just worked.

Make dishwashers great again?

:flipoff2:

To back up previous statements - Bosch dishwashers are utter garbage. Don't buy one.

I'm running an older LG. It works fine. My folks have a Miele and love it.
We just went through this.... old Frigidaire went out. I researched the hell out of it and bosch and miele were the two best with many saying the miele was way better. We bought the miele and hated it so much I yanked it out and returned it. It was a nice unit (nicer than most) but wasn't super quiet, inside trays were meh, it took foooooreeeever to run a cycle and it had an open display in front which was more annoying than anticipated given how clean the rest of our kitchen looks.
We went back to a bosch 800 series. I had the 500 series an a different house and loved it and we've been super happy with the 800.

Running a Bosh 800 series here, 1.5 years in, no issues, dishes are clean, its quiet, kids still cant seem to load it or unload it...

I am on my third GE dishwasher in the 11 years we’ve been at our house.

I had a service guy here yesterday working on number three again and I asked him what I should do next.

He said GE dishwashers are hot garbage. He would only ever buy Bosch. 🤷

Loving my Bosch 800 series I got as an open box item from the local Lowe's. It was like $1350 new. They had it marked down to a shade over $1000 as open box. I offered them $650 and loaded it up. I'm a BIG fan of buying open box shit. I honestly can't remember the last appliance I bought that wasn't open box.
