Fucking newer Bosch dishwasher won’t run a cycle.

Silence Plus 44 dba.

This thing is pissing me off. It’s like 4 years old. Solid light on the bottom, so it’s not sensing or anything.

Anyone deal with this dishwasher?

No help but I hate mine. It short cycles. You have to start a cycle, let it run for like 30 seconds and then open and close it to get it to run a full cleaning cycle.

I have Bosch dishwasher , the old one went unused for a few months before we had the Bosch installed and it wouldn't run a cycle .

Turns out the line to drain it was clogged and once we figured it out it's run without issue.

How did you unclog it past the turbine thing?

Have you checked the strainer in the bottom? My bosch won't run when the strainer is clogged up.

I dont have a Bosch, but about twice a year mine refuses to run, its always the door latch switch.

Drain isn’t clogged. Looks like this has gunk in it. No idea how to clean it out.

This piece of fucking shit dishwasher.

My Bosch had a draining issue as well, but it turned out to be the air-gap that sits on top of the counter near the sink. Replaced the air-gap unit and it drained fine since.....

You’ll find its the controls board and the control board costs about 95% of a whole new machine. Thats been my experience with dish washers anyways.

I called a local appliance repair guy who’s been in business over 30 years. He said, “I don’t work on Bosch. They’re junk. Throw it away.”

I asked what I should buy and he said, “The cheapest Frigidaire you can find.”

Fuck it. The Bosch is now throwing two serious error codes, parts are unobtainable, so fuck it. Frigidaire it is. Found one for $431.

Get a GE slate. Once you change out the control board, drain pump twice, and fill valve in the first six years it’s a pretty flawless machine. :flipoff2:

Damn, my wife is set on getting this new Bosch 300 series. it's like $800.

To back up previous statements - Bosch dishwashers are utter garbage. Don't buy one.

I'm running an older LG. It works fine. My folks have a Miele and love it.

I just get the cheap shit for the rentals think they were from Sears when they had stores
if they are going to be abused, it will be there

20+ on one
10+ on the other, neither have quit yet

don't get al dazzled on with those fancy lights on the control panel

We've got a GE POS that the PO put in to sell the house (All new appliances!), we pre rinse dishes and don't use a stupid amount of soap, but it still clogs up on a regular basis. The Bosch I had in Vegas was a rockstar, and I have no doubt it's still running for the current house owner, 10+ years.

I think they (Bosch) used to make badass dishwashers, at some point bid production to the cheapest group, and are now selling junk on a reliable name. Just like everyone else seems to be doing these days.

Yeah, I fucking hate that. Company gets bought out by equity group for their good name/product/tech, then first thing is to fuck the employees, then cut corners on production, get that EBITA up and flip it to some other EG.
