Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients-

12oz Buttermilk biscuit dough (Pillsbury Grands)

6 Eggs

1 package country gravy mix (makes 2 cups)

1 lb ground sausage (I use Jimmy Dean’s)

1 cup shredded cheese (any cheese will do)

1/2 cup milk

salt & pepper to taste

Instructions-

Preheat oven to 350, grease 13x9 pan

Brown sausage, and drain thoroughly

Cut biscuit dough into 1in square pieces and line the bottom of pan

Layer cooked sausage over biscuit pieces

Layer shredded cheese over sausage

Whisk eggs and milk, salt & pepper to taste. Pour mixture over layers

Make gravy mix according to directions on package, pour evenly over dish

Bake 30-45 minutes, or until eggs and biscuits are fully cooked

Serve warm

Yum!
I used to do something simular
Crumble up and fry sausage
put biscuits on to bake at same time
When sausage is cooked drain pour in gravy then drop in 3 eggs, stir till eggs are done split and butter biscuits dolop out egg mixture eat and enjoy

Quite good
It wasn't till mom started making it and she questioned about cutting biscuits in to squares, that I remembered that Pillsbury Grands come in a frozen flat pack.
Our little grocery doesn't carry such stuff, LOL they don't even carry canned Grands, so we used canned Surefine Jumbo biscuits, six to a can they cover the bottom of the pan.
She used canned milk to mix the eggs, we didn't have any Mex cheese combo so mom used Montery Jack, put it all together other than the gravy and stuck it in the fridge over night.
Added the gravy and cooked this morning
To much for two people, we will get three meals out of it, would be good if you have company :flipoff2:

This is my jam.
Breakfast casserole and biscuits n gravy are amongst my final meals.
