Is that dry or wet? Seems like the kind of thing that would happen when rain deposits that **** there and then the water evaporates leaving a lot of void space.

Very wet. but you can walk on it. as soon as you break the surface tension though you ****ing sink. The more you move the deeper you go.

bike went in front of me went like it was riding on a waterbed
when I went, it sunk past my front axle and just like that I was sitting on the ground in front of my bike

It took some effort to get out that was sure

I get that pumping clay **** here. I remember trucks coming up the driveway during construction making a wake. Jump on it and it moves like jello. Curtain drain stopped the groundwater and all better, set up like concrete.
