Badlands Winches... How Bad Are They?

No complaints on the one I have. It's loud and slow just like many have already said, but it got me out. Used warns are being listed at damn near full retail or, if in the price range of the HF, need to be completely rebuilt.

Day 1 opened it up, checked all connections/lubed it up, and installed. $300 unstucker on a $900 truck works for me.
 
Yesterday I used a 6 year old BL 5000 lb winch on a #2600 pound geo tracker to roll a #5000 pound Jeep JL single line pull from upside down to back onto its wheels up hill hanging off of the side of engineer pass at 11,000 feet above Silverton co. 10 out of 10 would buy again.
