It's a 'like' meter.


The more 'likes' one receives, the meter will reflect it.

Example:
@Austin's 'like' meter shows 2 bars darkened.

How do keep them? Once you click on them they are gone. I go back and look at them when I am trying to remember what I said and who responded. Is there a setting I'm missing to NOT delete them?

go to the message center- notifications - filter - both new and dismissed

edit: looks like the filter resets each time to new only
