What's new

Attn: ibb doc's night sweats

Blood pressure is on the low side and you're hypothermic. Are you sure your temp was 87*?
Typo 97. Oops

BP is low but low according to Google "low" is below 100. I'm usually around 120/70 I took my temp 3 times. 97.5 With a reliable thermometer.

Try cutting the zinc down to zero for a couple weeks, n see.

Changing your diet could help if it's gone unchanged for so long. Eat bell peppers for 2 weeks (orange and yellow) and if you can do beet juice that's even better.

Anxiety can definitely be a factor but usually not the whole shebang.
I'm supposed to stop all vitamins/pills per my docs until after surgery I'll stay off if ifor a while . I slept fine through the night last night.
What is the room temp?
74*
Fluid in the lungs has several causes, none of them good. Go to a real doctor.
He recommended another covid test and report back. I felt fine while ralking to him and had no symptoms. I felt fine the next day. Jusr sweating no fluid Sat night. I'm off the mucinex as of yesterday morning. Didn't need it this night. I was fine waking up this morning . Mucinex really helped get it all out.

My BP this morning is 120/70 my temp is a weird 97.5 again. Usually I'm around 98.7

Man flashes?

They're actually a thing.

Same as wimmen...changing hormone levels.

And it doesn't necessarily matter that you've been taking zinc for decades, your body changes, hormone levels change, etc.

I highly doubt it, but have you had a TB test?

Long story short, had cancer when I was 17, had chemo, surgeries, blah, blah, blah. Still went in for checkups, well a chest Xray showed a small spot in my lung that had gotten larger since the last Xray. They decided to operate again (surgeon said he was going to put a zipper in if he had to go in a third time) and when they got in, they didn't know what it was. So they removed 1/3 of my right lung.

Thought was it was TB, so they started me on the meds for TB. Holy shit, those things are worse than having TB. Stupid thing was I had no symptoms of TB until I started taking the meds. Night sweats just like you stated...wake up completely drenched in sweat. Sheets, pillow everything. I'd take a shower in the middle of the night because of it. And sunburn...I looked like a lobster after the first sunny day at work. Oh...it increases your susceptibility to getting sunburn. No shit Sherlock.

Took a month for the cultures to grow...it was mycobacterium avium. Told me I could stop all the meds immediately and all the side effects went away immediately as well.

The only thing I could ever come up with is I pulled a kid out of a creek after a big snowmelt. Him and his cousin were playing by it, he went in and the cousin told the adults. I found him about a half mile away, piece of shit radio didn't work and mom was next to me so I started CPR without a mask thing. He was brain dead by the time I found him.

Hmm... I'm pretty flemmy I think a test would be good to do and rule it out hopefully.
How much alcohol do you consume? Doesn't explain the wet lungs, but I sweat a lot at night if I drink.
Lost my taste for alcohol . About two beers here and there. I did have to beers that first night with the lung thing. Starting to think I have an allergy to alcohol because I don't care for the way it makes me feel any more. It fucks with my stomach and stokes the desire for shitty music. :lmao:

Missed that, I'd be sweating too if I tried sleeping in 74° room temp.

Ours is at 61 in the winter. 69 in the summer if the AC is on. If it's going to cool off enough the slider is open. Usually have it cracked all winter.

There’s some weird shit going around. I never have night sweats. I was sick last week and got night sweats bad. Tested negative for covid and strep.

Surgery went well incase any of you fucks care. :flipoff2:

Haven't had an issue since. Must be the way I handle covid. :homer:

Side note. My parents (in their eighties, lIive in Wyo.) who have had all their boosters, have Covid right now. Mom says it's the equivalent of a really bad cold. Sounded terrible over the phone , couldnt even talk long. Didn't know they had it until seeing the Dr.

Turn the heat down or quit sleeping by the wood stove . I keep the heat around 65-68*
Tell that to the wife who's always freezing to death.

I'm sort of use to it I guess. Though it could very well be the problem.

Well fuck. Thrre weeks PTO and im already bored. Sitting here in a sling wthth a repaired rotator cuff.

Any movie/series suggestions?

Pic of said cuff

Just skimmed this thread the other day...

I've had this shit for years. As I wake in a pool. I take plenty of vitamins daily, have hyperthyroidism, room temp is probably ~ 65, I realize the same shit...

I'm sweating out the copious amounts of alcohol consumed during the weekend.
Always happens Monday or Tuesday night. I shrug it off as "drying out" for the week. Yes. I know. I'm retarded.

My Boss (who is also a doctor) says if you over eat that day you can sweat the night of. Which I didn't eat a lot.

I'm of the conclusion, your body is dealing with something, whether it be sickness or ? It's working at night to fix shit.

Since those three nights and through my surgery, I've had no issues. I'm guessing flu or the like fo me.

Viral load (and the expression of) could definitely be a factor in your case, i think.
