Armed thieves caught on video stealing Arizona man's truck

That video smelled of cartel or gang activity. Which makes it a thousand times worse.

It really depends on where you live. I park a 100k truck in my carport and don't ever bother to lock the truck. The truck gun stays in the truck and I never lock the house. I never lock my shop, even when I'm overseas for months. I do take the truck gun out of the truck and lock the house when I'm gone for months.
Very true. They clearly target certain areas. This was actually a huge topic of conversation before we moved into North Jersey. I have come to the realization that these folks here make themselves marks. I never locked my Shop in Woodbridge, Here I don't worry about it either but there is always a human at this house or watching it at the ready.

It also helps to have that "I will kill you and move on with my day like nothing happened" look too. :flipoff2:

The running joke in my house is "sorry officer, when I heard the engine start that was our que to indiscriminately fire guns at the windshield area while my spouse reclipped and handed me fresh weapons"

Upgrade to a semi-auto.

M1's are too old fashioned for a real firefight nowadays.

If I lived in an area where this happened...I'd be moving in a heartbeat.

Couple years ago my son/DIL locked the doors to our house when they left to meet us on vacation.

Had to break in because we didn't know where the keys were. Because they don't get used.

That's the part that got me. How he was coving the house. Also looks like he may be wearing body armor.
The media has you programmed that they should look like the Migos or That Mexican OT . Those types are out there, but they are looking for hellcats:shaking:

What you are seeing is the trickle down effect of trainings done in the central american mountains making its way.

What you are looking at is shitbags using their abilities as a team. Replace the truck with the pile of money that they can get selling in a container shipped overseas and their tactics align more clearly.

Best to stay in your house and hope you took your valuables out. The critical response window was lost when the truck door was opened. And the only way that would come out good if all the guests never left.

1. spoken like someone who has never clearly been in any kind of firefight with Shitbags.
2.And you know my weapons count or variety? Shut your new ass up.:flipoff2:

Most of the newer homes in Az (like the ones shown in the video) have garages that are just under 20' deep. Most newer trucks just over 20' deep. You could put your bumper on the wall and the garage door still wouldn't be able to close behind the truck. The only way you can actually get 2 cars in most of the "2 car garages" is if at least one of them is a compact.

There was a rash of stolen SUVs in the Phoenix area a couple of decades ago. The "investigative reporter" (back when there were still some) found a bunch of the stolen SUVs in Belize being sold at a car dealership. Being that it looks like they're targeting fairly new trucks, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing is happening now with these trucks.

The video said that the thieves were boosting the key fob signals from within the house; time to pick up some faraday bags to store the key fobs in inside the house.

House in Vegas was like that. Current house is a custom, and the garage is 30'w x 33' deep, that was a major selling point for me. Can fit a double cab with grocery bed NP and still have room to get tool access. Storing it inside added lots of value when I went to sell it.

Some builders were worse than others, but most builders in the Phoenix area (around 1980) decided that 20x20 is a 2 car garage. The one house I had built had an option to extend the garage 2' or 4' (depending on plan and choice). I opted for the 4' extensions and the garages were actually about 22' and 26' wide (split 4 car garage on a 90 deg angle). But most people didn't spring for those options.

Elliot homes were the worst, when I was home shopping in the mid 2010's every single one of their "two car" garages was 19.5 x 19.5 ft.

Y'all realize that 98% of diesel crew cab trucks live in the driveway, cuz they don't fit in regular garages right?

I believe it was a carmax commercial promoting their 7 day return policy. Where a guy bought a 4 door tacoma with the 'long' bed. He then exchanged it for a 'short' bed so it fit in a garage.

My $5k vehicles rotate in and out of covered parking, solely for the lack of doors and/or top.

When I was a kid our garage had space beyond the width of the door, and Dad always drove full-size Chevy's, and there was still room for a deep freeze full of venison, and room for three bicycles. Now you're lucky to get half a foot.

Next county over has been having a run lately of previously returned immigrants breaking into vehicles. Only stealing guns and other high dollar items, and only from unlocked vehicles. They'll hit 2 or 3 county roads in one night and then move to the other end of the county and do it the next night. Some ol boy confronted them one night, and got shot with a stolen gun for his trouble.

It's not going to end well for them. There's now posse's roaming the roads at night, it's only a matter of time before they get ventilated.

Probably won't make the news.

In AZ 4wd trucks, especially HD diesels are stolen to run drugs from Mexico. Period.
Sometimes illegals, but those are more in big suvs

Not really a chop shop thing,

They're too valuable in Mexico to run drugs or be used by cartels.

I randomly met a 30ish white guy that had been an addict, dealer and thief in his early 20s (had since gotten clean, career, had a family, nice house, decent shop, etc)
He said that if he showed up in Mexico with a 4wd diesel truck he could trade it for a kilo of anything he wanted.

Occasionally at auction you'll find a theft recovery chevy 4wd, tree hammered sides mirrors ripped off, no rear seat, a factory alloy wheel, the spare, 2 Nissan wheels, and 4 brand new bfg muds:laughing:

Maybe have your new truck wrapped to look like a rusty pile of crap...camouflage
See above, they don't care, they'll cut all the light wires, spray paint the windows black, paint the chrome trim black

You mean if the bad guys get ventilated?
If so, I GUARENTEE it'll be all over the news.

"Those nasty MAGA assholes are out there killing undocumented 'citizens'!!"

Meh, You probably wouldn't stand up and get off the porch to defend your property either.

Nope, standing creates a larger target.

But hey, I'm not the one hiding behind his wife while she reloads for him.

Pick the fucker off from an upper window
Thats an option, sure. Youre gonna spend thoudands on legal fees getting out of it though.

My bigger concern is now you killed one of the fuckers and the others know exactly where you live. That means a quick google search of your address gets your name, relatives, etc... You honestly think they'd let that slide without retaliation?

No good outcome, unless PoPo can get there in time to take care of business.

The plan being to kill them all.

Ayup. Spot on.
