Armed thieves caught on video stealing Arizona man's truck

So maybe its time to place a surprise in the vehicle that is armed when you get out and remote "surprise" about 30 yards away.

I don't know officer....they must have had something with them 🤷‍♂️

I am always amused by how many 90k trucks in the driveway while the garage is filled with 5k of junk in my neighborhood. I park my 200k mile beaters in garage next to my pile of junk I don't need but keep!

No shit, my hood is full or hoarders like that. High dollar ride outside so they can save a bunch of old boxes...

Because where a man sees a garage and work space a woman sees a fucking storage unit that needs to be filled to the roof with bullshit. A number of "men" fall into that second category.

this is when the rust belt warriors start talking up how much better their wagons are:laughing:

Rttoys beat my to it

Looks like one was a cclb dually, the other was a ccsb, either tall stock, or lifted

Also, if a fella has a tow rig, he might have quads or sxs etc in the garage

It's real common here (I'm 90 min closer to the border) for this to happen, a crew rolls into a nicer hoa neighborhood and steals 4 lifted super dutys, and a dodge. In an hour and a half they're in Mexico to load up drugs

Most of the newer homes in Az (like the ones shown in the video) have garages that are just under 20' deep. Most newer trucks just over 20' deep. You could put your bumper on the wall and the garage door still wouldn't be able to close behind the truck. The only way you can actually get 2 cars in most of the "2 car garages" is if at least one of them is a compact.

There was a rash of stolen SUVs in the Phoenix area a couple of decades ago. The "investigative reporter" (back when there were still some) found a bunch of the stolen SUVs in Belize being sold at a car dealership. Being that it looks like they're targeting fairly new trucks, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing is happening now with these trucks.

The video said that the thieves were boosting the key fob signals from within the house; time to pick up some faraday bags to store the key fobs in inside the house.

How is this news? A thief with a gun. In a state that allows people to carry, yeah for a thief, a chopper makes perfect sense. Guns stop everything but bullets coming at you. Only a Banger would come to the door shooting and they are fully aware of that.

This has been happening all the time. It happens at least once a month here in jersey. Up here they actually have been breaking in or in case often go in through an unlocked window go through the house and steal the car that way. Police departments have road signs that tell folks to lock their cars and keep their keys in the house.

The running joke in my house is "sorry officer, when I heard the engine start that was our que to indiscriminately fire guns at the windshield area while my spouse reclipped and handed me fresh weapons"

My take on it is, with financing, leases and such, folks do not take into consideration of what they have till thieves come for it. They like and want nice things and envying the symbolism of bragging, one upping the neighbor and often out in public. This is accomplished ,ost effectively at the dwelling by parking their fancy vehicles in the driveway. Whether it fits in the garage or not. This make is really easy to case a person and their property.

:homer:Buy the Club and use it. Otherwise Lock it up, arm the alarm and pay your full coverage with hopes that it isn't found so you get a replacement faster.

When we were shopping for a new house I showed up with a tape measure every time, to make sure the CCLB would fit in the garage.
When our current house popped on the marked I looked at the drawings on the posting and knew right off my truck wasn't going to fit.
And that we were going to buy it anyways. :shaking:

I bought one of those laser measuring devices for house shopping (about $40-50 back in 2012 when I bought it). Real easy to get the actual size of a room vs guestimating with all of the previous owner's furniture in the way.

The one I have is a predecessor of this one: https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-Distance-Measure-165-Feet-GLM165-40/dp/B076C3TB8P

Honestly that's wild to have a guy with an AK covering the corner like that, armed thieves is one thing, but those boys were ready to kill for that truck.

Even if I saw that on the camera, I'd want to go around the other side of the house to get the drop on him, and then who has what in the car? Getting in a rifle fight in the neighborhood? I guess if it comes down to it, but fuck!

That's the part that got me. How he was coving the house. Also looks like he may be wearing body armor.

Open borders ..............

That video smelled of cartel or gang activity. Which makes it a thousand times worse.

It really depends on where you live. I park a 100k truck in my carport and don't ever bother to lock the truck. The truck gun stays in the truck and I never lock the house. I never lock my shop, even when I'm overseas for months. I do take the truck gun out of the truck and lock the house when I'm gone for months.
