What's new

Anyone want to buy a golf course?

Fuck a golf course, that place should have 3 outdoor national motocross tracks on it.
that is always my first thought when I see a golf course, but there isn't enough dirt there to support a track
and nothing better than a rocky MX track:laughing:

That is why I went with campground/resort/base camp for wheeling in the hills

I don't see how golf is profitable. Yeah, it's expensive to play until you start doing the math of how many golfers you can get in on a day vs. the cost of the land, the incredible amount of maintenance, etc.

Beautiful but that’s a fast way to lose 18.6 million. Zero chance it makes anywhere near that much money to support that.
all it takes is one
and if you have that much money, you are probably looking for a money laundering front anyway :grinpimp:

Some billionaire will buy it, knock down all the buildings and build a house on it.

Billionaires can do shit like that. 18 million is chump change. They'll spend more than that on a damn boat.

So it says it was built in 1964 (I assume the "house", because it was a family orchard)
First 9 holes built in 1975, final 9 holes in 1987
In 2020 it was listed at $2M with a tax assessment of $4,559
Now it's listed at $18.5M, with a 2023 tax assessment of $78,125

Something doesn't make sense

Maybe, if you were able to build high end houses around it and create a gated golf community...then maybe.

Memberships for the residents, and keep it open to the public. Throw in other amenities for the residents like a gym, tennis / pickle ball courts, pool center, a nice restaurant; it could be profitable....maybe.

That place is badass from the pics at least.

Love the bridge, but I like bridges for some reason. Waterfall looks awesome as well. May have to stop there and play 18 next summer on my trip

i see a nice rifle/pistol/shotgun range and with a little work, it could be year round usage...get in with some shooting matches that are nationwide and get a nice hotel somewhere on the property for shooters to stay for a weekend comp and you can make some coin...

i still say 18 mil is a pipe dream

That place would be an awesome compound with epic rc crawler courses everywhere. Fuck golf.

I mean, isn't Idaho the place where californians move to die? :stirthepot:

If that place gets used as anything but a golf course, itll be a bitch to mow. The kinda grass that use on the fairways, greens, and teeboxes gets to be a real bitch to hack down once it gets tall, and rotary mowers have a real tough time with it.

and there would be no way that the pile of golf carts would survive
This reminds me of the first dropzone I started jumping at. we had 2 golf carts to ferry tandems back to the hanger from the landing area during the day. Night time was a different story. long story short, those golf carts had more airtime than most A license jumpers before the owner sold the plane and quit the business.

That’s the one by the bridge, I know it’s a few miles downstream, but build an Evel Knievel gorge jump. Or cater to the BASE jumping crowd with a landing spot.
