Curious for a possible future project does anyone make a Dana 60 and GM 14 bolt wheel hub that is a TT 6x6.5" Bolt Pattern? I got a set of TT wheels and tires and planning my next TTB build and will weld holes and machine factory hubs to bolt pattern BUT it would be easier to purchase some forged hubs that are 6x6.5" pattern OR BLANKS that I could simply drill the correct bolt pattern for my setup.

Thanks

I thought spidertrax would offer some but i only see unit brg stuff.

Id think going straight to solid or dynatrac is gona be your best bet on blanks.

Yeah as long as the front and back of the hub is smooth I could just drill the 6 on 6.5 pattern and they don't overlap at all. I believe factory hubs have thicker scalloped area for the studs to push through.

Randy Slawson from Bomber fab redrilled some Solid hubs to 6x6.5 without problems.

Thread in studs would probably be the best bet for stock type hubs.

Or get solids, like mentioned

Solid 6 on 5.5 would be easy to add 6 on 6.5. I have Solid 6 on 5.5 hubs I'm going to to be running on my chevy tons.

Does Ballistic still make aluminum hubs for the 14 bolt? If so, I'm sure they could either sell you a blank set or program in the TT pattern when they go to make them.

A little off topic but I’ve always wondered what the genesis of the 6 on 6.5 tt pattern was. Why didn’t they just run standard 8 on 6.5? Just the wheel center being a little stronger?

Well rover makes a 5 in 6.5 pattern as well. For flat tire changes 6 bugs are faster than 8 lugs. But no definite answer to why TTs are 6 on 6.5 pattern besides the added strength of increased bolt pattern width AND the added strength of running larger 3.25" wheel bearings.

bdkw1 probably knows

No clue, never tried to do that. I think spidertrax or somebody offered custom patterns? Dynatrac? One of those tracks.

spidertrax makes a unit bearing. TTMotorsports is trying to use peasant parts to use some cheap wheels fancy wheels.

theres a set of BTRs the algorithm keeps serving me that tempt me to do the same thing

TTMotorsports what did solid say about blank hubs? i want to progress on a project i have going but dont want to commit to a wheel pattern, so blank hubs would awesome.

17in 6x6.5 wheels can be picked up pretty cheap on the west coast to. Lot of trophy truck teams let dozen loose when they went to 18s. Set my fb marketplace to cali. Found a few for under 1k

Thanks. I actually have some stock 8 lug hubs i'm planning on drilling to the 5/8" studs and welding up factory holes because why not. I just need to find a slip over brake hat for the 6 on 6.5 to run a aftermarket rotors or slip over 6 on 6.5 rotor that's 1.25" thick to use the wilwood brakes I have for this thing,

Kinda off topic a bit. Does anyone know of a factory 8x6.5 slip over brake rotor that is 1.25" thick? Most I find are 1.5" thick

I know my 03 duramax is 1.5" the 06 dodge is like 1.4" thick. Trying to use the nice Wilwood 6 piston calipers I got on a budget.

I'd love to run theses and some nice coleman rotors but I aint rich. Champagne taste on a beer budget.

99-04 e250 rears are 8x6.5.
99-06 chevy 2500 rotors are 1.125-1.1875

I have a set of 99-06 GM rotors here if you want em.
