So as the CDC is changing the symptoms of covid-19 to diverge it from the actual SARS-COV2 virus and include every known ailments symptoms, has anyone had the actual flu yet?

tinfoil on me wonders if the PCR rapid test for CV19 also pops a positive for flu? We all know the PCR test is wildly inaccurate anyway.

With a combination of all the military immunizations, and my properly maintained BAC, I doubt a virus stands much of a chance in my system

I haven’t been sick in years

2nd eldest daughter had to go to the hospital...she is 29...wiped her out pretty good with migraine due to dehydration. But she is very thin ... Could use a few pounds.

Pics? haha

Really though, all the measures being taken for covid have decreased flu cases. Why isn't it working for covid? Because covid is much more contageous.

Yes .. Australia had a near nill flu season...with 10 percent mask take rate .... Now they are forcing the slave muzzles .... Won't do shit there either.

Combination of masks, distancing, washing your damn hands, etc.

Simpletons around here can't understand how to combat the spread of a disease.

No flu, tested negative (rapid test) for the China Syndrome... But, had a pretty nasty case of Bronchitis I'm just getting over. I'm the third person I know who came down with bacterial bronchitis... I say bacterial because the antibiotic that I got prescribed actually worked and I started feeling better and clearing the fluid out of my lungs on day 2. The other people I know with it had the same symptoms and started feeling better after a couple days on the AB's.

Pretty sure there's something to that joke I read about people getting sick from bacterial infections because of the constant mask wearing.

Yup it's not that bad just picture dragging a 50lb anchor around all day hungover. After awhile when the wife says hey try and smell this scented soap and you don't smell it anymore. Pretty sure I got it last Fall too with the fever the wife now has now. The shit will pass just don't stay in bed on your back.

It’s not how, it’s why. Why are we doing all this for something that hasn’t changed our over-all death rate.

despite covid being more contagious than the flu, that just isn't it.

when are we going to accept that covid really isn't much more contagious than the flu?

LIke stupidity?

Yours is strong. Must have caught it from Mom and/or Dad. Maybe socialized, i.e.herd learned.

:homer:

My wife and I got the real flu back in February or March. I think we were the last ones to get it. :flipoff2:

One is more contagious than the other...not hard to understand.

It's pretty obvious that's the case...I said as much back at the start of all this shit that we were likely to see a drop off in other easily spread diseases because of the measures being taken. Theoretically if we could wipe out covid with distancing/masks/hand washing, we'd theoretically wipe out the common cold and flu at the same time since they spread the same way.

drop in cases, i'm seriously curious how masks and social distancing would result in ~20% fewer heart attack deaths or ~20% fewer cancer deaths

edit: pertaining to just the flu this year, the point of the article from the CDC is the use of the word "might" and "may". those aren't words of high confidence.

No. Haven't had the flu in almost 20 years. I've had two colds in the same amount of time. My immune system might be "good" but it's also producing antibodies that target my healthy cells.

Yep. Years of exposure to asbestos, jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, MEK, the Smallpox vaccine and the 8 anthrax vaccinations plus all of the other shit the Navy injected into my body I’m set.

My 77 year old mom tested + for flu type A in mid November at an urgent care. She felt pretty bad and had a fever so I drove her over to get checked out. She got some single dose flu med and got back to her old self pretty quick.

If it is so easily transmissable how does only one member of a family get it and not spread it to other members of the family when they live under the same roof? I know of atleast 5 instances of this happening, with the infected being either a kid or a parent and then noone in the family uint having symptoms or testing positive? Seems to me that a closed house/hvac system would be the perfect place for it to spread, if its not spreading in those conditions we probably need to evaluate our thinking on how contagious it is.
