Any water experts in CC?

Did you use new wicks or old wicks?

Original post should have said "both have new wicks"
I just cleaned and installed a wick in this one, I am waiting on brown santa to bring me more wicks hopefully tomorrow as one unit is down right now.
I have my own well if that matters. I know we do have a little calcium as a crust develops around the tops of the wicks. When the unit stops using water I know the wick is bad and replace it.
I do have a dog that sheds constantly and two cats.
I'll call the local water testing company tomorrow.

Add some vinegar into the water, should cut down on bacteria forming (for humidifer)

Usually cats and a litter box make a BACT hot or positive.

I do miss our water in NY. It was FANTASTIC right out of the tap.

AZs water is horrible.
