Any pipe smokers here? Edumacate me.

Was chatting with my best friend from back home and he mentioned that back in the day he smoked a pipe. Said his favorite tobacco was Captain Black. What a coincidence; that's what I got.

Smoked a bowl today and it was great. So frigging smooth. Nice aroma.

Liking this a lot.

That's my shop tobacco. Easy to just puff on mindlessly.

If you like that one, try hobbit's weed and cult blood red moon. I'm not much for aromatics but both of those are regulars for me. Always a hit.
 
What the heck is this? Bowl scraper? I showed my buddy and he asked if I was going into the circumcisions racket.

While you want some char in your bowl. Char build up in bowl will cause it to get a bad taste so you want to scrape it out once in a while. Not something you need to worry about right away
 
It's a reamer to clean the cake out if your bowl. It'll be obvious when you need to do it. I've been into pipes for a few years and the only time I've needed one is when restoring a beat pipe. You can set that to the back of the drawer for later use.
