Another small business telling the woMAN to where to shove it

I ate there last night, and will continue to support them. I wish more in the area would do the same, I work for gordon foods and our loads are small for even this time of the year. It's gonna be interesting on how many places stay closed after all this.

I think it's funny that the only recourse seems to be the state removing the liquor license, that impacts the state as well.

They'll remove liquor licenses... food licenses... business licenses...

I think a few folks are waking up to the fact that the USA isn't as free as it once was.

It's the state run mafia extortion fee. I find it funny the police unions flipping out over proposed officer licencing, meanwhile private citizens need licences up the ass to conduct just about any sort of business.

I will be curious to see how this all plays out and how many businesses get the Waco treatment.

People will abide by dumb laws when its easier than fighting them. It's no longer easier.

or when their neighbors turn them in. Patriot Act and conditioning of "see something, say something"... as well as perception that license = competence/safety

Good food, I've stopped there a time or two.

If there's one lesson to be learned is that we definitely are not free... only freedom we have is to work more hours and pay more taxes..

I saw on the news about a restaurant that the police keep changing locks to lock them out, they break in and reopen. Food and drinks are FREE, just leave a donation. The state pulled all their licenses amd keep arresting the owners, but they keep opening up amd cooking.

So if they lose liquor license, and still sell booze and customers still buy booze, what then?

They are not selling anything, its all free. Donations only.

Can't break the rules if you are not playing their game. :smokin:

Ah yes. Donations of beer are given for free. A tip jar sits on the bar in case you want to donate back to them.
Bam. No more government between customer and business.

it's a short term solution, but that is hopefully all they need

sounds familiar... what other governments had informants (rumored 1 in 5) to tattle on other fellow citizens?

Now, will people take this whole covid experience and have further contempt for the government? Or want further government assistance? I vote the latter.

Will atlas shrug?

There is a few other restaurants opening back up, one just south of me is removing three walls and replacing them with garage doors to be considered "outdoor" dinning so the health department doesn't try and shut them down.

Cuba for 1. I was talking with a Cuban guy at work today about this. He had a lot of interesting things to say about current developments and how they are very similar to what happened in the communist take over of Cuba. He is not a fan of the democrats to say the least LOL......

Make it BYOB (bonus for homebrew/no tax stamp) and still accept "donations" for food?

I'd like to think people like myself would still go there just on principle alone.
