Update on the sub-$200 tiller deal from Homo Despot; the tracking eventually updated from initial 'shipped/in transit' status in late august to 'customer cancelled' at the end of September even though i never had any contact with anyone, and no refund issued until I called HD's 1-800 customer service number today and was elevated through a few levels of 'transfer to my suprvisor' with them stating 'We hadn't realized this was a problem; we apologize' which makes me believe that this may be a somewhat widespread issue.

This definitely slipped off my radar, and I'm just glad to not be out the $191 after so much time had elapsed and we're way beyond contesting the CC charge time limits.

You can get the HF Bremen ones for about $6 when they do one of their 30% of items under $10 coupons every few months. Side by side, I think they're a little better quality than the couple pair of Irwins I have.
I'm fully stocked on the 6" and 11" ones for now. They work really well with my Fireball squares.

Disregard Stanley on these wrenches… they are quality. Maybe Proto?

No origin on them, but they are nearly the same as my 20 year old Taiwan Greenlee SAE set. I would say same manufacturer.

Way nicer than a Chinese set of gear wrenches my wife got me for Cristmas I needed a 17 mm to access a steering stem bottom nut on a 4 wheeler and my old set didn’t have that size.

I have 25 year old gear wrenches and the new ones are junk. Not in any US Stanley catalog or website.

For $28 bucks no one would be disappointed.

Fyi the first charge they only ran for 20% of what I would have expected... the 2nd time around and thereafter they were at least 25% better then my factory dewalts
