I have a 2014 F550 with the airbag light on. Got a scanner and here are the codes:
B00DF:4A Passenger restraint disable switch
B1214:13-8B Passenger seatbelt retractor pretensioner deployment control
B1214:13 Passenger seatbelt retractor pretensioner deployment control
B00DF:4A-8B Passenger restraint disable switch

Bought it used with this light on. Crappy used car dealer I got it from said it was a sensor that was backordered from Ford. He lied (big surprise) about some other things so this was no surprise. I want to sell this truck and need to get this fixed. Any help would be great

It's a $400-1000 part depending on where you buy it. If you read into it apparently it may be able to be reprogrammed. Usually have to take it out and send it in to various electronic repair places.

Afterward it Usually has to be reprogrammed by Ford or someone with access to IDS. Not sure if forscan can do it.

Where is it and what's the part?

Plenty of vids on YouTube. It's under the center console or jumpseat which ever you have

If its got a key switch for the pass airbag disable the bulb for the indicator may be burnt out. Happened on the bosses truck and the bulb wasnt serviceable. If the airbag codes dont say “stored and locked” its prob not the module

Here are the codes off the reader

That's long gone in the Fords.

If I'm reading everything correctly, it looks to be the restraint control module and not the air bag module. Is there a better place to purchase it or are they all the same?

Restraint control module and airbag module are the same thing. Does it have a switch to disable the passenger airbag?

Not a switch but a weight sensor in the passenger seat that turns the airbag off if less than a certain specified amount is sitting on the seat. (like not much more than a lunch bag turns it off)

Yeah we have had fun calibrating them at work, “you weigh how much? Holy shit dude.”

Finally got around to looking more into this. Raised the jump seat and found this. This plug comes from the passenger seat and isn't plugged in. Where does it go?

Update, sent the airbag module of for reset and that was a waste of $100. Light still on so it must need programming from the dealer. New issue, swapped the driver window switch out to hopefully fix a slow window (didn't) and now the truck won't start. I get a message of Starting system fault, temp light and oil light. Code reader shows no codes. Google searching says BCM or bad key. It was cold here (11) and I started it after that. Started after I replaced the airbag module and now nothing.

Shit battery. None of these new vehicles will start with shit batteries. They all have battery monitoring systems.

Jump it or put a new battery in it.

Side note. Previous owners lost the under hood fuse cover and I have replaced a few relays due to corrosion. It rained today and A couple of them had water on top. New cover ordered. Anyway, hoping they are just wet and will start when they dry out
