I know you work with heavy iron every day. I in no way was trying to insult your intelligence. I just know what I have doesn’t seem to play well with my old ass dump truck no matter where I adjust the settings. I’m just looking for an alternative to try.😁
The problem is that standard electronic controlers work of an inertia pendulum. In a mdt or hdt truck the braking force is just slower and the controlers dont react well. I have one of those hayes controllers in the pete and its 10x better then the prodigy was. I have heard that the high end digital tokanoshi units read the 12v from the brake pedal switch and send a braking "profile" to the trailer but im not sure how that works or can acheive progressive stopping force.
