After Market Jeep Hard Tops

A bit. :flipoff2: But there are others. I can get them for $1300 too but you get what you pay for or?? That's why I'm posting. Not sure of the quality as I've never seen any. These guy's have them for $1300. https://www.camperkingusa.com/home/16-jeep-yj-hard-top.html

You do get what you you pay for. My friend joe had a factory hardtop for his Jeep that didn’t seal. After going back to the dealership a handful of times he finally got tired of looking at a puddle on the passenger side he got them to buy the Jeep back.

The sad part is I had a hard top/full doors and sold them Years ago. The doors were fucked and the rear window frame was dicked up. I bought a new soft top, found a used frame and have hated it. I miss the full windows you could roll down but the doors are just shitty as fuck. I hate the zipper window and the glass inserts suck for sticking your head out, I'd probably find full doors and fix them??...Make them better?? Reinforce them?? and a buy new hard top.

DIY, pussy.

The OEM Jeep soft top is a modern marvel. Sure it's loud and uninsulated, but it's good for 5-7 years and holds out water while being easy to throw on a shelf or fold back. Hard tops are overrated.

I have experience with both. Not even concerned with "hype of either" My interaction with the soft tops is not working out. All the fucking zippers an foggy plastic is wearing on me. The half door windows are impossible . The glass sliders are worthless and the plastic flop-outs get covered in mud and are useless. My hard top issues were storage and shitty doors that break at the window frame. The soft top benefit is storage. That's it. It's a total POS in every other aspect. It all comes down to preference. I suppose the door thing is the majority of the issue. Soft top with a full hard top door? never seen one.

I like hanging out my door. :flipoff2: The plastic windows suck balls. They don't like me and I don't like them. The top is irrelevant I suppose, other than the back window is way better than the zipper BS.

There are lots of soft tops with full doors, just needs the proper oem surround. I prefer half doors, and just remove the window portion and not unzip it. I hated the hard top all the way around. Heavy, just as loud as soft top, leaked, storage and removal sucked, cracks, not warmer or cooler. My soft tops never leaked, hard tops always leaked. The only thing I give hard tops is the rear window. The soft top rear window will absolutely piss you the fuck off.

I agree with you 100%.
The soft top is no louder than an old XJ on the highway and never a drop of water gets in. The rear fucking window SUCKS. The zipper is a pain in the ass if it isn't lubed.
Only reason I tolerate the soft top is I don't want to deal with the weight of a hard top, I only drive the junk for camping/wheeling trips, and my shit is garaged when not in use.
