it was free and it is actually higher spec in every way from the one I was on, which was fairly mid/low-end when I tossed it together in like 2012
I was holding out for something to show up with m.2 ssd slots, but that didn't happen fast enough

I'm told that all the saved passwords and shit went cloud based somewhat recently (post-ff100)
For a long while it used to be an option, but now if you transfer over your profile folder like you always used to be able to do it just don't recognize any of that shit, refuses any local storage which... fuck that

Start writing them down on a piece of paper. Then install firefox esr (extended support release, basically the entererprise version that doesn't update at the ridiculous pace the regular version does, mostly security updates).
 
No idea on migration to non-ESR to the latest, but i've been running the latest with ublock and no issues at all. I do run ESR on a kiosk app, but that's a different deal.
 
I've just been beating my head against the librewolf one, getting the shit figured out slowly
I think the only ones ported over to the penguin-OS are the ESR versions, at least that's all I've ever seen

my handwriting is such trash that... since they force you to use uppercase it is always a pain, emphasizing which are those, then which are 5 and which are S, the slash through zeros and shit

I try to default to block letters, but then a lowercase E or G or somesuch will worm its way in there, even if I wrote an uppercase one right next to it
always got laughs out of the service writers before it went all digital

My handwriting greatly improved when I have to actually go back and read what I wrote.

For capitals make it a much larger letter, lower case letter = short letter, upper case letter = tall letter. If its S 5 0 O etc, I just exagerate the letter to make it obvious I wasn't writing the other. Usually an extra heavy top line = 5. Basically, looks like a fucking ransom letter put together from randomn magazine letter cutouts.
