Not where I want to be
My dad and I built this rig. Mostly it was me building and him buying the parts :lmao:

As the thread title says, it started life as. 1979 Ford Bronco. Over the years it went from daily driver to semi-raisined off road rig.

It's powered by a Ford 400M. I know it's a 400 and not a 351M because I pulled it out of an LTD that was abandoned in the desert, and rebuilt it with all new bearings, pistons, rings, cam and lifters, and rebuilt the heads with knurled guides and a multi angle valve job. I did this engine work when I was in tech school. I converted the York compressor from the LTD into on board air.

Transmission is a Borg Warner T18. It is married up to the range box from the original 203, and a donor Ford NP205 with parts from the Watsons at Off Road Design.

Since my wheeling buddy is dead and gone, I need to sell his rig. Sitting around is doing it no good. I would love to see this go to someone who will give it some TLC and then wheel the piss out of it!

It is located in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Asking price reduced! $8500

Did that start life as a forestry vehicle? It's the right color.

Nobody? Is my asking price too high? Ive had several calls about it locally, but nothing has come of them yet.
Imo (that is worth very little) its about 2x to high. It may even sit a while at $7500 but should sell eventually. Its a hammered old bronco that will never be "nice" and doesnt have any parts that really make it stand out.

Dont get me wrong, its way cool, just dont see it being 15k cool

Agreed, sucky part is you will regret selling it at that low of a price. Do you have another hobby or need anything you'd trade it for(+/- cash) I've found thats the best way to get decent value back and also not sit on it for sale forever.

Super cool and I won't lie I've looked at these pics too much, cool ride for sure:beer:

Thanks. The opinions here mean a helluva lot more to me than anywhere else. Im gonna adjust the price.

So, I'm selling this for mom really. It's technically hers, and it's just sitting around not being used. I had to rebuild the carb and install a new fuel pump just to get it out of the shed for those pics. It's not my money to be trading really. I have my own wheeler that I don't have time for.

Sold! You wankers waited too long.

Buyer also bought two other trucks from me.

Waiting on a shipper to pick them up.
