Have been working on Ol Blue as of late and wanted to continue a build thread for it. I probably will not go back thought the build as there is a lot. It is on the old site under building a 71 F100 or somethinglike that.

What is it?
It is a 71 F100 2wd auto with a 360 or so the title says. It is now a 71 F100 with 7.3l idi, NP435,203/205 Doubler, and 2.5ton rockwells with 46x14.5x20 tires

I wanted a big drivable monster truck to have the wow factor the truck gave me when I was younger (as picture 1 shows Dad built it to this point). It has done that very well and now I take if to events sometimes payed but often not. It also makes trips around town and to coffee shop.

Most of its off-roading is to pull others out and on the farm to go hunting.

Now that the intro is out of the way the future work that needs to be done can be Listed.

first I need some wheel brakes and full hydro steering to make it better handling and stopping. The links need to be redone with better angles on the front and the rear. need to add the coil overs to the rear axle. after that is is time for some paint on it.

Will post up more as events and or things get done.

Cool truck, I love IDIs and bumpsides :smokin: anything done with the 7.3L?
Its out of a 92 and has been worked over so that she starts in 0 degree weather. Plan on a banks sidewinder turbo kits some day. The 500ftlbs of torque would be nice and extra economy. 6mpg is hard to go very far.

Today I had sometime to work on rebuilding the Ramsey pto winch. will need to order some bearings and I already have the seal kit from Summit Racing. it is good to note that the worm gear is driven out before you can take the main gear out.

Cool to see a tread over here for this.
Didn't get appreciation at FTE, damn cool in my book.
Thanks man. You are correct it is out of the wheel house of that forum. I will take some of the blame too as the truck has been slowly progressing and I have been lacking in posts. Covid made me sell my GT500. The RZR is payed for so I can work on getting this finished. Old man picked up a plasma table and fixture table for the shop as well so that will help make some of the custom parts really look good compered to me with a cutoff wheel on a grinder not to mention time savings.

Some of the things that have been happening with the truck.

Coffee shop trips sometimes make new friends.

busted some snow last winter. If you look closely you can see the oversized aluminum rad that I got when the old one started leaking. At the same time I painted some of the engine parts and replaced seals to pretty it up under the hood.

nice truck, not far from me..and my 67 is also called old blue. Winch wise ramsey is a tulsa company and the gear box looks like a tulsa winches box, see them alot on bucket trucks, digger derricks etc.

Yes sir it is a ramsey. Have the timken version bearing coming so i boxed it up for now tell i get them its a 304w. Cool have any pics? There is a lot of trucks with the name but it has had that name from before i was born so cant change it. Famly and friends know it as ol blue.

I have most of the parts you need to turbo this thing. If you are ever near OKC, hit me up....I want them out of my garage.
Cool i head up that way every two months or so. Would love the turbo parts. Pm me and hopefully can set up a day to swing by.

Over the weekend i started some projects. A new custom grille that isn't finished in the design yet, some dash inserts still fitting and painting. And fixed the thermostat gasket that blow out at the last event a few months ago.
