If only we had photos of buff doing low level hot shot shit in the early 90s.

Like say flying below the flight deck of an aircraft carrier.

Or doing low level flight training in the desert.

I agree with this.

But when they have fun like that it's planned fun.

That shit isn't happening on a discretionary basis like it could have during the first ~30yr the aircraft was in service.
 
If I remember the story correctly there was a navigator or maybe WO that was supposed to be on that sortie but was pulled off for some reason.

The plane crashed on his car. Dead.

I guess flying that low you'd at least be over the horizon fairly quick, though no doubt not nearly quick enough unless they had a longer delay fuze thing going on

sacrifice the airburst too, or whatever it is called that they set them off a couple thousand feet up to spread the blast wave better
