Burning 3 hours til my wife gets here, getting off LIRR at Penn Station, what the hell do I do until she’s freed up? Anything cool to see? We are meeting at south Times Square.

I should mention wife and I have all day tomorrow to explore around a bit, we are hitting 9/11 for sure then, unsure what else.

Figure out the Bus routes; stay the fuck off the subways. Dive bars are your best bet.......Fucking order of chicken wings and a couple of beers set me back $80+ at Rockerfella Center! Enjoy...:beer::beer:

I was in your situation before so I went to ground zero and got all weird and stuck in my feels. Then I went and did this and it was awesome. The building is a big wedge that you climb the top like a pyramid with stairs.

Edit: not my pictures but to show what it is like

2090 Broadway isn't that far from Times Square. Grays Papaya.

definitely take advantage of kick ass food as said before. Its absolutely worth it when here.

Walked highline from north to south, walking over to flat iron and then up to Times Square

Damn I was already way south of Hudson yards when I saw the post three above this

Rudys dive bar for free hotdogs and $5 shot and beer. :barf:

Grand central, whisper wall, and the oyster bar are pretty cool.

If you are already there, put the dang phone down and look around :shaking:

Loooooots of weed and gay dudes all about. Finally lots of homeless nappers at Times Square.
Zuki, phone questions while waiting for lights clown :flipoff2:
5.5 miles hoofing it might have a blister already, Whoopsy

Hang onto your wallet read a story this morning that pick pocketing has made a reapperance with the influx of "undocumented foreigners"

McSorley's Old Ale House is the oldest in the city and worth a stop. If you're into Asian food, soup dumplings from Joe's Shanghai in Chinatown is a must.

To kill Time check out Macy's and the wooden Escalators. You can kill time just people watching.
If you like beer, there is a beer spot a few blocks up at the south end of port authority. The bars will get too crowded by now. Sorry i dont drink so i dont know names.

A great spot to drink in Penn Station is Kabooz. IIRC its by the dunkin donuts. There is also a bakery next to it that has some slammin tiramisu.

Honestly keep your ass in Penn Station. Its the safest.

bit late, but walk over the Brooklyn bridge to the Brooklyn Ice Cream factory for a cone and views.
