The Texans have been released! Let the games begin!

This is no shit. I left my neighborhood this morning and in the matter of 2 miles into my 30mi commute I saw 3 cars in the ditch on 80 and one was on its roof. :shaking: I turned my truck around after the 3rd car and went back home. I'm all set with getting hit by some non driving retard for the sake of going to work to hang out in the shop all day.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, my wife has a Dr's appointment in Dallas at 11am this morning and I feel much better about driving her there myself than letting her drive in this shit weather with these tards.

Meanwhile I've got one hand on the wheel in 2wd on street tires driving though whiteout conditions with 5" of snow on the road at night with a kid in the backseat losing his shit because he just dropped his toy tractor.

How can that many people suck at driving at once?

Best thing to do is go find a parking lot by a 4 way stop to watch the action from. Seriously, it’s like the retard level goes up by 100 when ice or snow is involved.

A few years ago we got a couple of inches of snow over night. Roads were warm, so nothing stuck to them. People were complaining that school wasn’t cancelled and that they had to go to work. The snow was all melted off by early afternoon.

Circa 2008 or so I lived in FTW and worked in Irving. Bad snow/ice storm (for DFW) and I 100% saw a car in a tree and at least one car in/on a building along 183. It was spectacular.

Ho-lee-o-fuck. Look at that traffic map.

30 sucks on a good day.

Supposed to start snowing around noon today...Get ready for some dumb shits on video later...

Tomorrow morning should be the most fun....will more than likely be nothing but ice on the roads.

They already did the "BUY GAS AND FOOD NOW!!!"....for whats showing as two whole days of below freezing...:homer:

I was down in the Valley when that happened. It was fucking hysterical.:lmao:

I drive i30 from Parker county to Dallas county every day damn near. most of the time I run 80. I left the house at 4 and it took about 50 minutes instead of 40 or so. but the bridges are froze, as in ice, freezing rain this morning, not some pussy ass snow. I drove in my 1500 Silverado long bed 2wd no problem. except for the 25mph hazard morons in the middle of fast lanes. but there were a few spun out in the middle of the road when I came through.

I'm from New England and have driven in snow all my life with no problem. This isn't snow, its black ice covering everything. Moving, turning and stopping on this shit is next to impossible unless you actually know how to drive and think waaay ahead. Fuck, even walking on it sucks! Also, there are no salt/sander trucks around these parts. They put down some kind of liquid ice melt ahead of time but for the most part it doesn't do shit when it's like this.

Looks "wet" but it's actually sheet ice. Not cool!

I dont know that sounds like some pussy ass snow to me.

TX is becoming the new FL.

I've been to more than a few places around this country and Ft Meyers was the worst I've seen for bad drivers. You've got octogenarians from NYC that didn't get a drivers license till they were 75, and they can barely see over the steering wheel and have to drive on crowned roads. I don't know how the PoPo spots drunk drivers, they all weave all over the place.

I drove 34 miles this morning in a 2wd, long bed, with street tires and drove about 45mph most of the way to work.

The problem with texans is you have 1 out of 5 people that drive like it's august. Or the people that constantly hit their brakes at each spot that looks scary creating as much of a hazard as the overly confident people.

I suppose to put things in perspective and if you want to be fair to the retards, people should imagine they're in California and driving on their way to go surfing (not skiing) and all of a sudden your car has no brakes and the steering wheel seems to do nothing when you turn it.

Thats what the invisible shit pictured above is like.

First responders reporting that some spots in the wreck are too slick to walk to. 3 dead so far

Them fuckers cant drive on a sunny day.

They can............. just at 50mph

Driving down the 75 from Sherman to Dallas was always entertaining. It seemed the worse the conditions the faster people went
100 degrees and sunny = 50
Rain = 60
Raining so hard you can't see the end of your hood and the road has turned into a lake = 70
Snow and ice = 80+

It doesn't help that 95% of Dallas area roads are elevated, and boy do they love some tall curvy bridges.

Truth!

I can't believe I don't hear about cars and trucks taking 80' plunges off the overpasses in the DFW area all that much. These people crash on dead straight roads on bright sunny days, how do they not manage the Dukes of Hazard bridge jumps more often?
