Vehicle prices that make you say WTF?

It looks like someone mounted a 1950s TV on the handlebars for a headlamp.

Anyone seen FLCL? :flipoff2:

Both styles of HD fairing are ugly as **** now, the "shark nose" (frame mounted like that Road Glide) just started out that way and got worse over time.
My C90T came with this big bat wing thing. I rode it for 40m, the head bobble was BRUTAL, and I unbolted it.

Why I love my Fat Bob so much. No fairing. Straight wind.

Damn, and just when you thought Harleys couldn't get any gayer they start screaming hold my beer......

$145k asking price and in 5 years it will be worth next to nothing like every other Harley. Their market is dying and isn't ever going come back, and **** like this is the reason why.
ehhhhh, still holding their value more than most bikes. the entire market has come to a grinding halt, but in relation to, they are not.

Harley isn't going anywhere. Still see more on the road around here than any other bike.

I guess i haven't thought about this/ paid attention to it, but it just dawned on me almost nobody rides motorcycles anymore.

The bike parking areas at work are virtually empty all summer. Maybe 1-3 bikes at the front, 1-2 at back. From mid 90's-2020 there would be 10-20 bikes in each spot every day. Bikes all over town in various form... now its rare to see one.

I quit riding in 2019, and I guess haven't noticed. What happened?

Dude. You want to buy a bike, now is the time. Market (used) is dead.

No idea what happened. 50mpg, cheap, fun, and plentiful. I dont get it either.

Has to be to be the cheapest motorsport out there. I could buy two running used bikes for what I have in my simulator alone.

Yea, no doubt. Damn i guess I've been in a cave the last 5 years. Sitting here thinking- I bet there's less than 10% bikes on the road now vs 10yrs ago. Ive walked right passed the nearly empty bike parking areas at work every day and never gave it any thought.

(I added more above)

Rode my Harley in today. :dustin:

I quit riding after almost getting hit several times in a row. all the idiots from cali started moving in around here and its dangerous everywhere now, even in a regular vehicle.
but ever since covid, you hardly see bikes anymore, and definitely not large groups riding like they used to.

If anything id say I see at least the normal amount, if not more around here.

Harleys for sure, but street bikes are gaining in popularity.

We normally have 4-8 bikes in our parking lot any given day, weather dependant.

If we're in Milwaukee after dark there's a 100% chance of having a few do 120mph+ fly-bys down the highway.

Same. Im lucky if I see 1 or two a week, and I drive all over this and the surrounding states constantly.

I think most people that rode bikes have figured out that its a not fun enough hobby to put yourself in the path of death every day at the hand of ****tards that shouldn't have licences.

Monday I took the truck, but every other day I rode a different bike in. :dustin:

Sucky thing is I don't get to ride anywhere near what I used to because of the on call for work. Every few weeks I get a weekend off and I'll knock out a 2-300 mile day.

Dad went with a group yesterday, and a guy there has Heritage Softtail. That was nice.

I see a bunch daily. But I'm working a on Route 9 that connects NY to NH in Vermont. Lots of bikes ride this road. Out of that bunch probably 2 are commuters I see daily. The rest tourists.

You ****ed with the newer Indians at all? I've been going back and forth on picking up a Chief for the last few years.

Not the most familiar with them. I sat on...a Scout? waaaaaaay too tall for it. I swear my feet were at the front wheel.

There's a dealer a bit of ways down south from me that carries 1000s of bikes of all backgrounds. I used to go down there quite often and spend half a day sitting on different bikes. That's where I saw the Indian. Outside of that, I don't really check out bikes that often outside of seeing something for sale on Marketplace closeby.

My C90T BOSS fits me well. Not in the most love of shaft drive. And the gearing is crazy tall. 2nd gear I'm doing 65 if I want to get on it.

I stole an idea from a friend of mine: if I die on a pleasure ride, then I go out enjoying life. I don’t want to die commuting to work.

They’re great bikes. Not sure how they’ll do after Polaris split them off. I have an FTR 1200, it’s a blast to ride.
