just drop this here - Project Binky

It will be interesting to see what they do for the body. In the comments someone suggested the cabover's cab will be used
they went to a fair amount of trouble to not destroy the original cab, or things like doors and stairs and corner extrusions.
I'm betting on use the old **** as a template, remake the box, but make it more RV like with windows and awnings and pit lights.

but who knows. They're obviously mentally unhinged.

You're right, that's just what was going through my head.

Rob Dahm's turbo 1 rotor woulda been a much better option, more room, more power, and lighter weight. Haha

****, that thing is packaged so tight no mud would ever get up there.

They should have done a hydraulic drive.......

Have you followed the build?
have not watched the most recent one yet, and it's been a couple years since they put out a video of anything all that interesting (paint and programming and instrumentation and carpet and)

I recall the power steering pump is already electric and tucked away
and iirc they're running just an a/c compressor and an alternator off that flexible shaft dingus

They’ve had the car running for a couple years now. Why no performance specs? I wonder if the 0-60 and 1/4 mile are just ho-hum?

There is just enough room on the front of the engine to slip the belt through

They kind of painted themselves into a corner needing a **** ton of amps for the electric power steering and the like.
Not sure you'd get enough jam with a row of magnets of a crank pulley.

I think when they had the car out to an event the drive cable broke pretty much immediately. I'd imagine 4 of them was 4 different variations that didn't work out.
Onto trailer.
Off trailer.
Back Onto trailer.
Off trailer again.
:flipoff2:

I stopped watching these. Lost interest. Something like 10 years now? Meh

That's what bugs me; all this building and not one video of them driving it.

Are they gonna have bugs with a build as complex as that? Of course, but why not film that stuff too.

In the blurb below they say something about the alternator drive going out before they could pass (MOT) pain in the ass inspection, they have to go through every so often.

You think they’re gonna actually drive it? 🤣 They love the pain of complex engineer and design. I gave up on them driving it after around 6 years. I mean the last time they drove it they broke a ton of stuff on a dirty/muddy road for the car show and that wasn’t even rally racing.

I remember that! lol The one time it was spotted outside the shop.

I chatted with them a bit years ago, and they said they weren't going to rally it, just a street car.
