Post a picture of where you are right now.

I tackled a job I knew was gonna suck but it’s mostly done now. I bought out the “finger of God” I call it. My Hypertherm 85 and blasted a lot of the welded on stuff from when it had a diesel engine and huge safety sign on it. The part I hated was using the cut off disc to cut out all the freaking welds they put on there.

It’s a long way before I can start installing treated lumber decking on it but keep moving forward with it.

You'll never believe this, but I'm too stubborn to use anything else.
No I believe you on that. I have buddies that are charcoal bbq people and nothing else. I like both but I’m usually so busy at home, I typically force myself to stop and eat something. I only had breakfast yesterday and that was it.

Gouging tips on a plasma get a lotta **** peeled off in a hurry....

Buy cHiNa!

Cut the end off of one of the extensions for the jacks and welded it on the tongue. More better for its new life.

Sooo, do you know the last time you changed out all your spring and equalizer bar bushings and bolts? It could save you a roadside failure.
I know exactly when. It was a year or two before I had kids. I've gotten about 17 years out of that setup (everything including the rubber).

This winter I had both rear springs break. I just swapped out the springs and links and bolts on the back to get by. I took apart both rear hubs because one of them was getting loose. Took apart and inspected the bearings. Greased and reassembled and tightened up the nut.

Roadside failure is easy to deal with since I've got way more axle and suspension than this trailer needs. It originally came with a single 2000 or 2500 lbs axle. I put on tandem 3500s, so when something happens I just chain it up and keep going.

A few months ago I bought all the stuff to change everything and rebuild the axles. It's due.

You working now, thought all you did was drive to cool remote places to stare at things?
I still do that, but we also have a small construction crew. None of them know how to move dirt so now I get to operate once in a while again. After not being on a machine for about 15 years, it felt good and I picked up right where I left off.

And, wahalla, it’s done.

Why a red hitch you wonder? Well, paint yours bright red and back up to it using your backup camera and let me know if you like it or not.

I was hooking up the cargo trailer this weekend and had almost that exact idea. Couldnt see the black hitch for ****, but I was going to go for painting it white.

That’s because nothing is made here anymore due to ******s like you running to buy HF cHiNa Crap. Now you’re paying high prices for cHiNa made crap because they own all the companies that once were here. Good job

That'll make ya jump when you walk by! Close to 4' bully.

We have timber rattlers here in Missouri but I’ve never come across one. A buddy of mine did about a month ago tho. Big bastard. I don’t think timber rattlers are as aggressive as out west snakes

Old CB arial bolted behind hitch
HF used to sell trailer line up sticks. Foam ball on a whip with a magnet on the bottom

One on the hitch, one on the receiver, line 'em up, and back up until you lightly make contact

Actually more useful for my gooseneck, as the diesel tank in the bed hides the view of the ball. Put a line up stick just ahead of the ball in the bed, back under the gooseneck until the trailer just starts to knock over the stick, and perfect positioning. Not as good as, but sure cheaper than a backup cam.

Prarie rattlers here are pissy things that get dispatched if on the property. Too many dogs wandering around to let em live.

Pictured is good snek. Bull snake/ Gopher snake. I re-located this one to the other side of the fence before the dogs found him and started playing tug-o-war.

Tug of war with the dogs. All I could think of is poor snake. He’s probably “oh **** me, I’m gonna become a short lived stretchy chew toy” :lmao:

It isn’t just cordless tools, it’s most everything out there is made in cHiNa. Today, we suck as an industrial nation. I can’t put all the blame on you tho ,heavy load I know) but epa has killed it for us too
